Racists don’t like being called racists because it’s a negative word, that’s all. They want to be able to be the horrid spiteful assholes they are without being seen as bad people.

The thing is, there actually is irresponsible, one- sided news being broadcast- it’s just almost exclusively from the right. It’s the age old trick of accusing someone else of the very thing you’re doing, hoping to distract attention.
I liked “squidbillies”
They’re right, though. At least about their own voter base. After all, the US political climate was recently shaken by the Tea Party- a group that rallied around the idea that Americans were being taxed at intolerably high rates during a time when taxes were at historical lows. So yes, a rather large number of voters…
I’ve noticed that people in general are pretty good at rationalizing things. It gets even easier if you believe in imaginary beings that created everything and have an unknowable plan for all of creation.
too stupid to be allowed to share their opinion online.
A theatre local to me just did a Disaster Artist/ The Room double bill. Possibly the only scenario where I’d watch it.
Hopefully they don’t craft new legislation so narrowly as to aim at a specific model of gun.
They do have them yes. At about 1/10th the rate the US does. So to suggest the laws don’t work is just foolish.
I for one would love to see Trudeau punch some understanding of how international trade works into Trump.
You know what else could have prevented the shooting in Maryland? The shooter not being able to just grab his father’s gun. you could have 100 armed officers at every school and it still wouldn’t do half as much as decent guns laws.
Staying outside was the right tactical decision- he had good odds of being killed himself. The point is that there are armed guards at schools, and when faced with a real threat, they don’t work. The argument was debunked before that idiot even made it.
... so you think summary executions are perfectly acceptable on mere suspicion. Excellent. Because that is what you’re defending. “We think he might have been a bad guy so we killed him just in case.” Well FUCK THAT. A nation that thinks of that as an acceptable way to deal with problems is a nation that needs to grow…
What confuses me the most is the habit of not just shooting, but emptying their guns. Do they not teach police how much damage one bullet can do? Or do they teach them to fire as fast as they can until the target is on the ground? It seems like they do the latter, which is basically guaranteed to kill, despite killing…
“What if we put armed guards in every school five years ago?”
Now, now. One thing Trump would never lie about is his name.
I’m still baffled that (most) of the US still allows partisan redistricting. It’s a system that guarantees abuse to such a degree it feels like it was written for that express purpose. Voting districts should always be written by non- partisan bodies. No exceptions.
I can sort of see that... but you can be proud of having done something and still want it to never happen again. My grandparents were proud of having helped defeat the Nazis.... they didn’t want more Nazis to show up in order to have the opportunity to fight them again.
Look, if it was a PS4 controller, it’s a perfectly understandable response to shoot someone... but if it’s a Wii remote? WTF????
That chart should differentiate gender when is mentions sexual orientation. Bisexual men are treated quite differently than bisexual women.
