It’s really not clear how the movie thinks time travel works. Would that even work? Only if the changes they make to their past propagate into their present (our future). But then, taking all the able-bodies soldiers means that those people aren’t there to fight when the aliens first show up, so how does that help?

I’m getting very strong /Wanted/ vibes from this. Seemingly ordinary guy is secretly key to a society of people with superpowers, different factions want him for different reasons.

The Voice is still the same thing in the film, and portrayed as such. It’s the Weirding Way that is turned from a martial art of ultimate body control to the ability to project energy blasts by yelling.

And the Excelsior is a Battle Barge used by the Ultramarines chapter of space marines. It is a space ship, not a space plane, and is what the Space Marines of Warhammer are said to be riding around in.

It’s because everyone else calls them space ships, not space planes, and Marines travel on ships.

I get the wish for a non-boring color, but why not just keep aside enough to get whatever you buy in silver or beige put in a really nice, high quality, full wrap in whatever color you can imagine?

There has been a 107% lap time qualifying rule on and off in F1. I believe it is currently on the books, but not often enforced.

I suspect it will be in this weird liminal looter-shooter/BR/survival crafter space that games like Escape From Tarkov, The Hunt: Showdown, and Scavengers are staking out.

Subscribing to Game Pass gives you the rights to play any game that is on Game Pass right now. When a game leaves Game Pass, it’s gone, and you can’t play it any more, even if you downloaded it while it was there.

According to the Youtube trailer description text, the 32 hour time limit is because the government is about to nuke Las Vegas.

That is only true if the work was done as ‘work for hire,’ or the copyright was explicitly transferred. Otherwise, the commissioner is bound by the terms of the license they negotiated with the creator.

Most of the schools no longer have any Synanon related practices at them.  It’s just a weird quirk in their history.

I believe they already shaved their heads in accordance with cult practice. But yes, the story is that many of the extras were members of Synanon, a cult that started as an offshoot from AA and wound up being involved in the founding of most of the modern therapy based boarding schools for troubled teens.

The sponsor statement all sound the same. “We were disappointed to hear ...” or “We were saddened to learn ...” or whatever.

The actor was involved in creating a prop photograph, playing an existing character but younger (presumably, an older woman with a wedding photo) so the makeup team decided to darken her skin to match the other actor.

There was a bug/feature in ... I think it was early Echoes, but it might have been another smart device.

That was the deal, or something very similar. But that deal is superseded by the new deal, where Marvel/Disney gets to put Spider-Man in their own films, and they co-produce Spider-Man films with Sony getting most of the profit. The new deal needs renewing every few years. If it lapses, we go back to the old deal.

I would have said Timecop, but the sentiment is the same.

I can explain where my own logic comes from, and it’s not too complicated.
