Perhaps.  I never noticed a game that didn’t recognize it, but I didn’t play every game.  Just a lot of them.

The always invert setting was one of the best features of the 360 interface, and I have no idea why they dropped it.  It’s too bad that it’s never coming back (which is how I read the marketingspeak of their answer)

The question is: Is Sony crazy enough to let them? I think Microsoft would do it in a heartbeat. It is very clear from their current positioning that they want your playing games from their ecosystem, and don’t really care what device you are using to do so.

As others have said Minecraft Dungeons has touch controls, and maybe some others, but most don’t.  But I too have a 1st Gen Elite, and it works fine (on a Samsung Galaxy Tab) plugged in via a USB Micro to C cord.
