I don’t think anyone buying these behemoths are all that concerned about fuel economy.

I am doing a literal LOL at my desk right now on the tree painting Bob Ross.

He was a Gotdamn Hero

“We just sold a 300 also! And a 200! We’re at 1000.”

Maybe that’s where all this confusion came from.

Hey, I passed middle school physics as well. Congrats!

I’m pretty sure they did make a hybrid Tahoe for a few years. It couldn’t tow as much and was only marginally more fuel efficient so...not really a great seller.

The days events in near real-time...

I would like to formally thank our driving brethren in Russia for their widespread use of dashcams and their willingness to post said footage online.

Let’s also not forget that VW has essentially admitted that they deliberately chose to tamper with the emissions system. So, much of the penalties are in response to willful wrongdoing, rather than just garden variety gross incompetence. That, and VW likely isn’t in bed with as many US lawmakers as GM.

I think if it was that simple they’d have proposed it already. VW is being forced to buy cars back at excellent prices because they need customers to sell them back, otherwise they face even more fines. I believe VW knows that it cannot fix these cars and is simply using the settlement as a way to buy itself time to

Alternatively, the 7.3L diesel version of the Excursion is a wonder. It is reliable, it tows and will run all day at highway speed while getting fuel mileage that no other SUV that size can match.

I thought it looked great!

It’s nice to see that this company hasn’t just been left for dead - at the very least, it’d be a shame for such a gorgeous design to go to waste. Hope the plans don’t go under again; you know what they say - Karma’s a bitch.

It was a voluntary recall not government mandated. FCA got many similar reports of injuries that did happen due to human error. However, I think they decided that if a large percentage of people are having the same issue perhaps the design needed to be addressed. If someone were to be killed they could be held liable.

Two cents:

No German automotive manufacturer would ever have dared to show such an ugly potato in public.

The S4 has been irrelevant since they got rid of the twin turbo V6 in 2003. The V8 is beyond lacking in performance, and the upcharge for the S is just a joke when a basic BMW 335i can more than keep up with it.

Trump should base his campaign on this instead of a silly fence.
