BMW is *already* building Supras with the 382HP engine from the Z4 and M340i, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if that’s what Toyota used for this press launch.    This isn’t conjecture, there are build records of Supra VIN’s with the revised, higher output B58 going back into March.   Once the “Launch Edition” is done,

CORRECT!!!

This makes me so happy.

Hang on peeps - T-Tops and a Targa roof are different things!  Do we know that; are we acknowledging that??

Neutral - in April ‘17 we bought my wife’s X3 from the local BMW “center” as part of their retired service loaner fleet. The experience was exceptional, but at the same time, that dealership has been on BMW’s “center of excellence” list like 5 times.

Yeah, it’s the same B48 that’s been in everything since 2015. BMW has just issued a TU (technical update) version / revision, probably what will be in this car.

Z4 already has it.   Will be the same engine in 330i.

From what I’ve read about the state of Indiana, it would seem *every* lot at the 500 could be considered the Coke Lot.

I’m only being this nitpicky because this is a car blog, but “pole position” is an idiom derived from racing, so we should use it correctly.   Poll position, I think that’s how we rate the president?

I saw the graphic and I thought “gotta be a Tahoe or Yukon.”  Then I read it all and got that confirmed, but it didn’t matter at all because the story and its rather brave retelling took over my attention.   Thanks for sharing!

We’re stuck in the middle. Born between 77 and like 82, we don’t fit either mold.

The Nice Price / Crack Pipe X3 from last week was in Wisconsin for under seven grand!

Kinda drives to the point home even better tho.

More fuel capacity, too!

Even WITH the automatic, the E83 is a great suv to really *drive.*

Our ‘17 F25 35i is a fine fine car, but I miss my ‘07 E83 3.0si every single day.

All day, every day, full capital NICE PRICE. E83 manual in great shape with modest mileage? How far is Milwaukee from PA?

I mean that’s cool and wonderful and all, but the dealership will have nothing on the lot but five black, two gray and a white.

Let’s just say it was the least expensive one in the mid Atlantic when I bought it in Sept of ‘04. Probably just a perfect storm of neglect and E36 “luck,” but for a five year old car that was, what, fifty grand new, it was troublesome. Hasn’t kept me away from the brand, and I absolutely look back on the car

No, the ironic truth is even better than that.
