I spent a while in the first area but the other areas I’ve gone a bit faster through (but not completely rushing). Yeah I've seen people get to level 40+ before even getting out of the area. In contrast I've been running through it so I can go back with better tools for easier catching.

I’m in the fourth area and fell down the rabbit hole of filling out the dex, it’s fun but boy oh boy do I wish mons like Cherrim and Happiny and Munchlax weren’t such a pain to farm (you can’t just catch one, getting the full entry requires multiple encounters).
