Most of the voting was pretty predictable, and I agree with the majority. However, what is going on with people voting for a Mazda Protege over the (RWD/AWD, Mid-engine, Supercharged) Previa? Seriously, what is wrong with you people? I had the Previa going all the way to the final bracket. Jaloperati, I am

My Picks:

It sounds like a great engine for a small car, but I worry about the timing belt. I wonder how long it will last and how much it will cost to change. Hopefully keeping the belt in liquid will keep it cool and lengthen the lifespan. Do any other engines do this?

I'd say that you should just dump it out the window, but I actually got pulled over for that once.

It reminds me of Fantasy Man.

I'd say that gas prices - filled up at $1.40/L yesterday - (and of course lack of free time) are the main thing preventing me from spending more time just driving around our great/large country. I drove Vancouver to Edmonton and back a little while ago but haven't gone past Alberta in at least 5 years.

I've only driven through Saskatchewan a few times (on cross country trips), but it is actually really hard not to drive at least 140+ km/h. The main highways are in decent condition, from what I remember. Most of the other roads I've driven on there were gravel.

To be fair, going faster actually makes a bike more stable. And 18mph isn't that fast. That is about the speed of an average road cyclist on flat roads.

Well I don't mountain bike, but I do see a lot of people driving around with downhill bikes, especially in the mountains north of the city. Up towards Whistler it is hugely popular in the summer.

I really like small pickups and have been considering buying one as my next vehicle. However, I would definitely get the V6 (or possibly a turbo-4 if it was offered) as I have yet to drive a 4 cylinder truck that didn't feel under powered. And while I'm a Nissan guy, I'd probably buy the Tacoma, though I wish it was

Russia has been known to be dishonest about their military vehicles:

As a Vancouver resident, it is a great city to visit and an even better place to live, IF you can afford it.

It seems like I'm the only one that thinks this, but you're being too picky. Being selfish is ditching you when something 'better' comes up, or refusing to watch a show that you're into and he isn't. I don't think that not calling when you're sick or asking you if you need things is selfish. Perhaps you are higher

Small is relative. I actually like the size of 'small' trucks from the 80s-90s. I'd love a truck similar to the 5th gen Hilux. I'm ok with all of the creature comforts that have been added to trucks over the years (provided they are optional), I just hate the physical bloating.

In BC we have a provincial monopoly over car insurance (ICBC). I believe that our rates are somewhat comparable to private rates in other provinces (e.g. Alberta), generally slightly higher than private for safe drivers and slightly lower for higher risk drivers. My insurance (10+ years clean driving) on an 18 year

The engineering students at my local university (UBC) also do the car prank. They generally have suspended a VW Bettle from various bridges, or placed it on top of buildings. I always assumed it was something that most schools did.

I'm only really interested in the small trucks and of those the Tacoma wins hands down.

What you say is true, however, body language is a two-way street. It is the responsibility of both the person conveying their interest via body language (positive or negative) and the person reading that body language. Perhaps the intent wasn't to be a dick-tease (or vagina-tease), but maybe they don't realize the

I don't think that anyone thinks any differently (other than actual rapists, which are really rare). However, they do help to read whether someone is more or less likely to be interested.

I actually did some quick and dirty number crunching on the net safety benefit of rear cameras. Since the number of people actually saved from injury/death by a rear camera is so tiny, the extra weight added to each car and the corresponding fuel usage actually causes far more of a national health problem.
