I get it, don’t feed the troll.

Cayman. It’s named after an alligator.

Ford doesn’t have an incentive to drop it in the Escape, if they were going to ST-ify it, they’d go 2.3L

And you can get a Nautilus/MKX with the 2.7, and yet the Edge ST exists

That’s what I’m saying, 8spd with 300hp variant of the 2.3L EcoBoost, done deal.

They could probably make it work, but then it would encroach on the Edge ST’s performance. 2.3 makes more sense.

FWD platform, can’t put the 10spd in it. I’d be willing to bet this is going to get the 8spd from the Edge/Transit Connect. If they do an ST it would most certainly have the 2.3L since the Titanium with have the 2.0L EcoBoost.

I think that’s fair. I also think that some cars really resonate with you, and if you find the right one, you may keep it forever. Case in point my E30 decided that it no longer likes it’s head gasket. I hate that I have to dig into my wallet to find some cash to fix it or replace the engine. As an astute reader will

Yeah, the Hammer was the best version though.

Bingo.

Of course David can find the charm in a bottom rung, Daimler-Era Chrysler Product. I think the fumes from welding all that rust is giving you delusions that DaimlerChrysler assembled anything compelling outside the Viper V10.

Haha, pound sand, you sound like a car salesman now, too many inquiries and phone calls with sales guys!

You showed us the wrong picture, you should have posted this one:

With the exception of the indefinite hill hold function, none of this is new. Ford’s had trailer sway control, and an automatic trailer light test since at least the 2009 Facelift. Everything else pretty much standard on 2015 and newer F-150s. Hell, Ford does have hill hold, just for 3 seconds.

Besides the weird conversion, it’s the wrong 318i, the M42 powered version is superior in every way.

Jalops like me live for cars like this! E34 big six with a stick! The parts on this car are not astronomically expensive. It’s 80s tech, the electrics are dead simple, they don’t fail on a regular basis. I have an 230k mile E30 and the issues I’ve had are all mechanical wear/tear stuff, bushings, suspension components

Meh, the 3.5L is pretty stout, known for reliability. The Getrag 260 is similarly solid. Minimal electronics on these, and OBDI simplicity. Parts availability, like most 90s BMWs, is good. This is arguably the most reliable E34 variant. I’d be more worried about rot on this car than it’s reliability. This isn’t the
