After watching the video, I can add some more to that list I posted, but it seems like you’ve got a good handle on what it needs. I have a 6 button OBC I can send you if you just pay the shipping! I pulled it from mine because it was flickering weirdly, turns out it’s fairly normal for that when they age, maybe you

While I have a 318i, I can give you quite a bit of advise on suspension and places to get parts for these. Mechanically, this car can be nearly be built from the ground up with parts still available from BMW and the aftermarket. Most of the interior bits are a little harder to come by from BMW, or really expensive.

Wowza

You’ve been getting the wrong BMWs. My E30 has been a peach, and the most I ever spent on any single part was a $400 used LSD because I didn’t change the diff oil when I got it.

Yikes, I thought the 4.10 in my E30 was high. I guess when you have 9k rpms, running at 3k isn’t so bad.

All things considered, wasn’t the M60 pretty much bulletproof? I rarely hear of them having issues with timing chain guides or any other issues. The M62 is a ticking time bomb in that regard. I had an 840i and my understanding is that the true weak points of the E31 8s and E38 7s were the transmission(auto) and the

Funny enough, my boss came to me to tell me his 280k mile CRV wasn’t starting. He bought it at 120k. I go look at the thing, turn the key on, fuel pump works. I tell him, lets take a peek at the spark pugs. Plugs had a 1/4" gap. I asked him when the last time he changed spark plugs, he said he never has. As far as I

As a fellow BMW enthusiast, I’ve been saying for years if it has any variation of 100k on it, just go ahead and expect that you will have a cooling system failure of some kind. Just be prepared for it. Also your valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, and lower oil pan gaskets are leaking. Also, just go ahead

What I want to know is how did people get all these Euro imports registered in CA? Didn’t DeMuro outline the details and establish that CARB makes it basically impossible to import at post 1965 car/truck?

That’s why I didn’t settle for a power top, if you can find it, the manual top is the way to go. Otherwise the early cars had engines and suspension from the E46. M54s in 2.5L and 3.0L variants. Pretty reliable mills all around, get the manual, hard pass on SMG and Automatic versions and you’re good to go.

Only the SE without the Luxury package.

Agree. Driving a slow car fast is significantly more fun than driving a fast car fast.

Why does it have a B-Pillar?

Dude, they did this last year and 2016 on fordperformance.tv. It’s pretty sweet, you can cycle through the four cars and some other things.

What car would that be? Navigation is typically a stand-alone option on Ford products.

Depends on the trim/miles/options/condition. I got mine for 7800 about two years ago 2.5i/95k/manual top/good condition. Like any 3 series based vehicle, front control arms and bushings should be considered at around 100k miles. Also, like any BMW, cooling system should be checked out at 100k. M54 based engines in the

1st gens are surprisingly good value. The electric steering is meh, but the car is plenty fun to drive for not much money. Each of the two motors in the 1st gens are well understood and pretty reliable.

The way it was explained, the other markets that have had this car have always called it Echo Sport. But I agree, call it eeko sport

I don’t know what was wrong with calling them Sport. Edge Sport, Explorer Sport, Fusion Sport. Ok that last one no one cared about (still a sweet car though). Ford has already established the Sport badging with the hot selling Explorer, why change it to ST?
