The 3.5 puts out significantly more torque than the 5.0. The 3.5 was designed to replace the 6.2L which is far thirstier than the 3.5L. A more apt comparison would be a 2.7 to a 5.0.

My understanding is that the EPA is an average of all axle ratios. If you have a 3.31 gears, you’re likely going to beat the EPA if you drive it similar speeds to the certification. My 2016 4x4 2.7L EcoBoost gets 2-3mpg better on average than my 2014 4x2 5.0L. My axle in the 2016 is 3.55, my 2014 was 3.31 gears.

Smog certificates are good for 90 days. If you don’t sell it, you have to smog it again. Probably been trying to sell it since April.

I sell Fords. Depends which trim of GT350. Two of the three Rs we’ve gotten are going to be tracked. One of them is a good enough driver to complain about the pads and fluid on the stock GT350R. As for the regular GT350 I’d say 10% of the ones I’ve sold see semi-regular track time.

It’s not.

Cafe. The Silverado/Sierra are the bread and butter.

Base trim be damned, that’s a straight up bargain for a 42k mile Raptor. If that was in California, that truck would be gone at 45k.

Curb weight is estimated to be between 3700-3900 lbs. Seems reasonable for a midsize SUV. Horsepower should be “enough” but I’d still want more from a 7 seater. What’s the point of this car are they attacking the Journey? How big is the 3rd row? Why offer this with a 3rd row AND the Atlas?

8spd maybe? Honestly, I’m unimpressed, 184hp from a 2.0L Turbo? Detuned much?

Interesting, many of those cars appear to have been acquired within the last two years. Note all the 7xxx### license plates.

Why is this car not pillarless!? Isn’t that the point of an 8 Series!?

Why is Shelby stuck in the 1990s? Those wheels are hideous, the hood scoop is over sculpted, the grill is obnoxious, and the front bumper looks out of place.

I understand what you’re saying, but he’s penalizing the truck for not being the best at everything. It’s not designed as such. The look is part of why it’s so popular, but you’re right, 80% of them are never going to see dune use. All I was saying is that there are compromises to make it more offroad capable,

Mine leaks oil, but it burns a quart of 20W-50 every 1200 miles anyway, so whatever

Somebody works for a Ford Dealer.

I understand the point of view. I’m just saying that it seems your expectations were higher than the results, and those expectations were misguided partially by it’s appearance.

Meh, let the profile gasket leak, too much work to fix it just for it to leak again.

David, I love your writing, and have learned a thing or tow about cars from your David Dissects videos, but I’m disappointed that someone so knowledgeable about vehicles overlooked some crucial facts about specialty vehicles.

This is pursuit rated, Cop Brakes, cop suspension, etc... The suspension is designed to handle curb jumping, standing water and some more stuff.

The M42 version of the 318i had a cartridge style filter on the top of the engine as well. It’s design is significantly newer than the M20.
