On an S-10? Supercharge it.

What you are describing has nothing to do with the doppler effect. You hear them better behind them because the exhaust points backward. It’s the same reason you hear a trumpet better when its bell is pointed at you than when it’s pointed away.

Thanks, but I’d like to keep my organs in my own body as long as possible.

You will have to buy a small car sooner rather than later. What car will you be buying, and why is it a Lotus?

This makes more power & torque than an EZ36, and the rumor is the flat-6 is on the way out after the next Legacy/Outback refresh. If we’re lucky, this engine will go into a new LGT/OBXT.

It has a twin scroll turbo, which means ELH.

Your Forester (assuming it’s relatively new) has an FB25. This has an FA24, which is more like a bigger version of the WRX or FXT’s motor. FA and FB engines share a design ancestry, but virtually no parts.

I always thought the CX-9 was the gold standard for 3-row crossovers?

I’ve heard just finding #19 is tricky.

I’d like to know if it has enough space in the back without collapsing the 3rd row. Too many minivans & crossovers look huge on the outside and then have trunk space more appropriate for a rear-engine hard top convertible.

I usually just deal with the 19mpg, but my record is 28. It was miserable.

When people have access to good public transit, driving becomes something they do for pleasure instead of necessity. It also means fewer clogged up roads. If I ever move to a big city, I’ll likely trade in my hot hatch for something with two seats that I keep in a garage at the end of a rail line.

“This 2.4L DOHC 16V I4 engine with Dual VVT delivers up to 173 horsepower so that you don’t have to push the car yourself manually.”

Worse: he’s Canadian.

That was amazing.
