Don’t forget that Rabin was assassinated by an Israeli who didn’t like the Oslo Accords. I am also still not convinced that Sharon’s stroke was a natural event — he had become pro-peace in his old age, and was poised to take a decisive electoral victory for his new centrist, pro-disengagement party.

A friend of mine was there for this incident:

You don’t like hotdogs and burgers and beer? Or the dental care and a stock plan that helps you invest?

Ryan is a weasel and I think they’ve kept Pence out of the loop on purpose.

Especially compared with Adam Schiff, his thoughtful, well spoken Democratic counterpart.

We’re ready. Preparations have been made and provisions are in place.

As soon as it came out that Flynn lied to him, I knew they were keeping him clean on purpose.

He was impeachable on day one. Having multiple impeachable offenses is not a requirement and the longer he stays in office the more damage he does. I think a lot of us were hoping he’d break Harrison’s record.

He won’t until he stops being useful to the GoP or they lose control of Congress.

It is terrifying that I have better qualifications to be Sec of Energy than this guy. Seriously: I have the same degree as the last two, and 8 years experience working for the agency. I wouldn’t trust me, but I sure as hell don’t trust him!

Fortunately, this guy is the one really in charge of the arsenal. Kinda surprised he hasn’t been dismissed without replacement yet.

Does it really surprise you that the son of a Trump supporting politician doesn’t have any artistic friends, or at least none who actually know what they’re doing?

I’d have thought my new boss would be in favor of the candidate with fewer votes winning.

The jobs at these plants pay less than getting one at Costco, and at least Costco you at least sorta are a part owner and get benefits.

Got one more gear for you...from Bloomberg

Wow... GM is 4th and Hyundai is 3rd? That’s nuts.

You don’t have to be a gov’t employee: lots of employees at defense contractors and security firms have clearance. During the cold war, lots of university professors, particularly physicists, had it so they could work on arms control. Technically almost none of the employees at DoE labs are gov’t employees (we’re all

I heard a thing (maybe on This American Life) years ago about this very issue, since it’s been a popular suggestion for a long time. They discussed a truly vile businessman, one of those guys you bring in to ruthlessly cut employees, benefits, and even whole departments when you need someone like that. He was awful:

Civics/Accords are far more acceptable than Corollas/Camrys, and that’s part of the problem with the Toyotas: you can get something just as reliable & similarly equipped for the same price, but which drives better.

Had two exes who not only didn’t have cars, but didn’t know how to drive. The first one I taught because it was so annoying. The second one I tried to teach and mostly failed. That was the worst.
