Isn’t that how Canada’s system works? It seems to be ok there, though I admit that their politics are pretty alien to ours.

F22C1. Or a 2JZ if you want to make Soichiro roll over in his grave.

We haven’t had Type-R Civics, but we did have the Integra Type-R, and it came with a red-backed Acura emblem. If Honda has any sense at all, the Civic Type-R will keep that when they release it here.

I guess this is what happens when you have a whole nation populated by the descendants of exiled criminals.

One of my best friends growing up played a kender thief. He was really obnoxious, but he was damn good at his job.

In the books, James Bond is very plain looking, maybe even homely. He gets by on his charm. A ridiculously good looking Pierce Brosnan or Sean Connery type would get spotted in an instant.

But you can’t use the starter motor to get yourself off train tracks (or whatever) in an emergency with the clutch lockout.

Happened to me when I test drove a MS3: you have to push down on the shift stalk to go into reverse. Oddly, I’d just driven an STI the day before and that has the same mechanism as the FiST, but I couldn’t make the abstraction from one to the other.

Among those, I’d say the steering wheel and pedals are pretty well ironed out.

A second hand Giulia sounds like 90% frustration punctuated by 10% amazing driving experience.

I would guess this is true everywhere. I think that’s part of why the Model S did so well a couple years back: it was a 5-series/E-class competitor without actually being from a major brand.

The lowest-ranking brand, Fiat, was further behind next-worst Jeep than Jeep was behind third-ranked Toyota.

I read a USA Today article earlier this week which said Trxmp’s foreign policy has actually been fine, even if you disagree with his domestic policy. The argument essentially came down to “he hasn’t actually caused a disaster.” That’s a really low bar to set for success. I feel the same way about his speech last

Unfortunately, not just wypipo journalists. This was really disappointing:

I agree in principle, but just like with waitstaff, I want to tip if they’re not being paid enough upfront.

I was coming back from something physically exhausting when I heard that interview, and I spent the whole time trying to decide if I was hearing him right.

The difference is that Honda isn’t on the desperate verge of bankruptcy.

Lyft is better because they pay a little more, don’t make it difficult for passengers to leave a tip, and aren’t actively encouraging people to go into debt to become drivers. They are still only marginally better.
