Maybe. I’m not in a very progressive area, but it’s not completely dead. I need to find some locally grown dissidents to hang out with; most of my friends around here are foreigners or transplants.

I agree, but it’s hard. I asked a friend of mine who’s both super progressive and super well connected to everything local around here, and she couldn’t figure it out.

When I was car shopping last spring, I went to a dealer that only had two manual cars: a Mazdaspeed3 and a Viper. Pretty big lot, so I was surprised. 

I’m trying to figure out which businesses closed or supported their workers being out so I can help them make up the business. Not sure if there’s a list somewhere.
