Some friends of mine were ogling a car once, trying to decide what kind of weird European exotic it was. They were pretty surprised when I told them it was a 90's Mazda.

I have a friend who used to have a Yugo derby car. It didn’t have a title, so when she had finally trashed it and wanted it gone, the junk yard wouldn’t take it. She found out what the largest single piece of scrap metal they would take was, then cut it into pieces that size with a welding torch. Says it was one of…
I haven’t driven one, but Mazda doesn’t typically skimp on handling. The CX-5 and 6 both feel better driving around than most other things in their segments. You’d be down on power from the Flex someone else suggested, but I’d bet even money the Mazda would have better driving dynamics. Also, the Flex is hideous IMO.
Ia! Ia! Cthulhu Fthagn!
Wait for the Viziv-7, if you can.
No comparison with summer tires? I live somewhere that doesn’t get much winter, and it’s fun to see who decides they can probably get away with it when we do get snow.
I have, and I like them just fine. That’s how I know I’m right: I recommend them to people, and they almost never listen. They buy a Toyota, or a Honda, or sometimes a Subaru, because their choice has really already been made. The CX-5 honestly might be the best midsize CUV on the market, but that doesn’t mean people…
That’s like a thousand cars. I can’t imagine them staying in a market if they can’t manage that.
Give it time.
It was the first one I found. I think you can still buy a new 4-rotor engine from a couple independent suppliers.
Alas, I’m grey over there.
I don’t see how you have any choice if you have both a Cayenne/Macan and a 911/Cayman.
Teenagers now? Bugatti Veyron, which will have depreciated to roughly the cost of a poorly maintained bicycle by 2050. Or maybe Hellcats, if they don’t all wrap themselves around trees between now and then.
I’m not writing the Japanese off, but I am concerned that the new Supra is going to be just like the new NSX and GTR: too pricey with too much tech and too little soul. I would be very happy to be proven wrong.
Our neighbors to the north don’t do too shabby, neither.
Yes.
Seeing this shirt makes me sad to think that I’m not sure any of my friends are the right combination of car geek and regular geek enough to get it.
I just want a little Mazda with far too much power and the ability to torque steer into a tree.
Goddamn those are gorgeous. Not sure I’ve ever seen one in pearl white before, but it works great!
I wish my Elise had rotary power. That would make it perfect.
