I work with an engineer who grew up in a refugee camp in Africa (Ethiopia I think). He’s one of the smartest people I’ve met, and his brother runs a hospital or something. We should be trying to get as many people like him as possible into this country.

I’ve worked with people from Zimbabwe. I probably DO want their uncles here. Seriously, asshole, most of the Africans that come to this country work their everloving asses off, go to church, get educated, and raise great kids. 

I would trade Zimbabwe the Donald, Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, Jared, Pence, Mnuchin, and Jeff Sessions for some guys uncle.

I demand Rebecca Ferguson be cast in more things. I watched The Snowman (terrible, BTW) yesterday and she was a standout in that as well (as much as one can stand out in a cliched mess of serial killer tropes).

Actors running is one of the things that I can’t not notice in films. I can’t not pause to shittalk when I see some actor flail along in an action scene like their limbs have never talked to each other before, and I always appreciate when an actor looks like they could genuinely put down a decent mile time.

I’m not arguing the quality of this piece. I wasn’t thrilled when I saw the trailer and I’m a TT comic fans, the TTS are one of my fav comic properties. Just so tired of seeing comment after comment (not just on io9) of men using terms like “slut”, “whore”, “prostitute” (in a degrading way)  in response to her.

Gosh, I hope so. The best thing Bernie Sanders has done is remind people that politicians can run and do well and be popular while talking about things that matter to actual people, not the donor class or the hyper-wealthy.
