Just keep going! It does get better, its just a slow start. I seriously stopped reading it for six months and continued just to see it through and I was happy I did. The following books are awesome as well. Claire is a strong female character especially for her time (the 40s) as well as the time she travels back too.

I had a hard time getting in to the first book too but once I did I loved it and the following books too!

It takes a while for the first book to get going! Once it does, hold on ;)

Are you serious? Home birth is dangerous. Period. Childbirth used to be the number one killer of women before medical advancements. People think its not dangerous because they have never lived in a time when many women died during childbirth or complications from it. Just like vaccines, people have never seen mass

Outlander forever!!!!!!!!!!!

Preach sista!

This is so true. Also though, I've lived with multiple boyfriends over the years and I've noticed that not ONE of them knows a heck of a lot about cleaning or general house keeping. I've consistently been the more handy partner as well. What I'm trying to say is that I think girls are actually being taught more things

Go team Canada!!! haha Women's hockey was and is awesome

You know, I think that'd be a great story haha it could be called Accidental Incarceration and be based around a man incarcerated in a women's prison and how he learns so much about women and their plight. A cross between Mulan and OITNB.

This. What is exactly is his point with the stats on men? I think he needs a gentle reminder that its a WOMEN'S PRISON as you said!

Seriously, Jez had numerous articles about schools not doing enough and now Ottawa is doing too much. Ok.

I have two I gross stories so I'll make them short and sweet.

I loved that lip balm. I now use Jane Iredale lip balm and its pretty awesome, skin cancer foundation approved with SPF 15 annnnd is free of everything bad! Its the next best thing for sure!

Look, sometimes people have things. Most of the time they are treatable. I treat people with skin conditions day in and day out. I also have bowl problems. Both require work and time to correct. Yes, there is usually an Rx that will take care of it for a while but even my Dr agrees you need to listen to your body. I

I do this for a living. First, embrace the lines! Honestly, I really believe if you take care of yourself and your skin you'll age well. As for products I find GM Collin to be amazing. Either stem cell eye or bota peptide eye depending on your age :) if your under 25 just hydrate and they should disappear!

My cousin didn't have a dinner (still had a reception) because she doesn't like people watching her eat O.0 Her mother had to force to allow crackers and dip so the guests wouldn't be drinking on empty stomachs...

My name is one of those girl names and I'm 24! The only other person I've met by that name is my grandmother. It totally cramped my style as a child but I love my name now!

This is one of the reasons why I think this is a terrible idea. What about the girls who don't get bid on? Why wouldn't administrators think of the bullying opportunity with this?

I'm just interested in the message this is sending both the guys and the girls. Also, imagine not being bid on :( that would be confidence shattering. I think this opens up more conflicts than it fixes (prom datelessness). I'm surprised a school would allow this.

I'll say this. Having no prom date is amazing and more

Shes a Franco Ontarian. Even if shes not naturally touchy feely shes certainly come in contact with people who are. It really shouldn't weird her out that much. Trust me, as a native born south-western Ontarian and anglophone I was very uncomfortable when I met my boyfriend (now husbands) family and friends (who are
