But see that’s the thing. You CAN’T make up your own dialogue in your mind because the dialogue from the rest of the characters is not going to change based on whatever you come up with.

What gets me is when every NPC is voiced, and the PC isn’t, so the world’s just full of people monologuing at you.
I understand why devs do it. I am more talking about the players.
I will never understand people who prefer silent protagonists...
Nothing takes me out of a game’s world more than some monumental shit happening and the main character just standing there in an idle animation.
That “...now you die” line is such an Illumination piece of dialogue that doesn’t really gel with SMB on any level imo. Same with the snowball barrage from the first trailer. Which was my biggest worry when this whole thing was announced; that it would just be your typical Illumination joint but with Mario characters.…
You don’t know my grandmother, you transphobic supporting moron.
“Loads of people say and do terrible things and nobody should be judged for it”
I did disown my grandmother for being a massive cunt and I don’t regret that decision. So there.
Uh, no. Maybe at some jobs I’ve had, but I work in an office now full of talented, dedicated people who bust their asses every day and consistently hit targets and generate verifiable growth. It’s not even that. You’re paying $15-20 for a list of chores to check off. Some battle passes are so grind that they become a full time job that leaves you for little time for anything else. Utilizing FOMO (which is effective on many people, especially kids) to make them feel like they aren’t getting their money’s…
Based on all the impressions and reviews I’ve read so far, definitely feeling like a wait till on sale title for me. I get the sense I would never end up wanting to finish it if the story is as empty as they say.
Believe it or not the viewing of media can be an emotionally fulfilling experience. It doesn't just have to be an exchange of currency.
Imagine being ok paying full price for a game that then asks you to pay more money to access content that is already in the game.....a game you paid full price for.
I’ll wait for the next game where they put some effort into story and character again.
