I think then that what Nintendo should do is keep the Amiibo model as it is, but release all of the content they unlock as paid DLC, for say, a little less than half an Amiibo’s price. The thing I love about Amiibo is that I only have to buy one figure to unlock every bit of content that single Amiibo can unlock. For

The decision to boot people makes sense since you can’t play with only two people, so I don’t have any gripes about that decision.

Yeah. It really doesn’t make sense either. In the case of FS/FSA, I believe any unused Links were divided up among the player characters to use. I’m not sure why they couldn’t have gone with that system to allow for two players.

Really too bad about no 2-player. I only know one other interested person, and the other four-swords type games were much better with others.

If by 3, they mean 6 then no this is accurate.

It's because of people like you that Shovel Knight won't get his props. :(

I never even considered Reckless Silhouette Guy, but man what a son of a bitch he’d be in 8p Smash!!

now imagine a person standing here holding a sifter waiting for a diamond to pop out. This is what trying to find a good mobile game is like.

seriously, I would buy a next gen power stone day 1.

Will they have multi-tiered and multi-phased stages, with a wide variety of random powerups?

Pfft, all that "practicing" on Wacom tablets has a game specific use, finally. :D

It could also be a brand play... 7Up or Seven Seas Salad dressing. "Unite" could refer to 7 and 7, though Jason looks more like a single-malt kinda guy.

I've gotta say, I really became kinda attached to the characters, but when Miriel died cause of a stupid mistake, I didn't want to restart, no, I wanted revenge. I think FE does a really good job of making the characters into more than just pieces on a board, and I wouldn't trade that for anything, one of my favorite

Wow! That is mind boggingly awesome.

It took me a while to find this out, but just use the terrain drawing tool and tap two points instead of drawing a line. Then, switch tools. It'll create a floor you can jump through. Plus, tapping allows you to make smooth geometry.

Master Sword and basketball stages are legit brilliant.

I actually have to disagree a bit on the new tracks being excellent. This is not to say I think they're "bad" - the production values and especially the music is world class through all eight. But that said, I actually found the majority of the new tracks quite a bit simpler than almost every Mario Kart 8 track

I'm not even into visual novels and absolutely loved it. Started playing it at 11pm and had to finish it all the way through. Didn't regret it one bit. It's a great emotional roller coaster.

Whether or not I agree with your conclusion (I completely agree), THIS is what I want from game journalism: critical thinking about the medium. Great article, thanks.

Totally different case. In ZombiU, your character becomes a zombie, and restarting the game is actually part of the narrative. That's kind of awesome. In Fire Emblem, restarting the game is just a way to avoid the narrative of losing people in battle. It's for WIMPS.
