Thank you. I've told my mom over and over again why I don't reach out to my siblings - namely because they are unable to give me the support I need. For example, one of the driving reasons I never told my sister about my pregnancy is because I knew she'd complain about my weight. No, Mom, I don't care if she doesn't

Have you watched Superman lately?  It’s terrible.  Christopher Reeve is the only redeeming quality about that movie, he was amazing as Superman.  Oh and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, but other than that, it was terrible.  And I say this as someone who will sit down and watch it again.

Shut the fuck up.

The only thing Marvel “filmmakers” seem to concern themselves with is if their stuff is going to be marketed through Burger King or McDonald’s.

There’s a big difference between being raised back in the day to think a woman’s place was to get married, have children, and keep a home, and being raised to think the only important thing about your future husband was the size of his wallet and how important his family is. Jackie was not raised to marry a blue

We need 10,000 more gangster shoot-em-up movies so we can feel smart again.

See, I found AM 2 to have a relatively boring and underwhelming plot, villain, and far less heart than the first one. It felt, if anything, over-written, but under-done, as while they seemed to spend a lot of time giving the characters worthy goals, they didn’t have much depth beyond that. They were all acting in

Her mother raised her and her sister Lee from day one to do one thing and one thing only: Get a rich man to take care of you. She was raised to see other women including her sister as nothing more than competition - she almost had no choice in the matter, but she really is one of history’s most glorified gold-diggers.

I would instantly put that “Oprah Phone” on Ebay for 50k. :)

“Outrageous, audacious, and wildly offensive"? Did Jackie Chiles write this petition?

She didn’t have to give him anything at all. And in this case, it was a thoughtful gift that referenced something they’d been through/an experience they had. Like, that’s the perfect gift.

A paid in full Iphone is still not what I would call a ‘cheap’ gift. I’d say it’s like slipping a homeless person $50 or more and knowing that he or she would make it last and not go blow it on something. I bet you he’s damned happy and going to take great care of that phone.

Birth of Otisburg

I’ve never understood the big deal about Chick-Fil-A. I think I’ve been there twice and it is some of the most boring chicken I have ever eaten. Do they cater to the segment of whitebread America that is afraid of anything with spice in it? Popeyes, KFC, Lees, and your average grocery deli counter all sell better

Let me put it this way: the vast majority of politics is totally mundane and does not involve life or death issues. That’s why most decisions and assumptions fail to register as “political.” For the vast majority of people that’s simply the way things have always been, or at least as long as they can remember. (Which

They don’t even have a gunner spread out to the side the punter ran to. There are at least two defenders on that side whose ONLY JOB is to ensure that the ball is kicked away and no bull shit happens. No pullers to gain numbers advantage, no misdirection...just the punter and his open field savvy. You make this call

Yup and that is why we’ll see a lot of this. People have woken up to the fact that standard business practices of doing business in China comes with choices. Blizzard didn’t want to be in this situation but their choices put them there, the same as the NBA, and now to a lesser extent Disney and it will keep happening.

I just hope that people realize that this isn’t a matter of “injecting politics” into the things they love. Everything is politics. It’s just that when you agree with ~90% of a thing, you don’t recognize the political assumptions underlying it.

I can see the reason that this would be considered a Bad PR Move, but Disney appears to be releasing content for the Chinese audience...not trying to appease the Chinese Government. Those are two very different things.

I cannot trust any blood relative of Skip Bayless.
