I don’t know if the animation will please you, but the Harley Quinn show has strong Venture Bros vibes.

It kinda does hint at it though. Bobbi St Simone’s daughter Debbie says she had to give something to Jonas Venture that she had no intention of using herself. That might have well been some of her eggs. Both Hank and Dean have the exact same nose as both Bobbi and Debbie.

Are you guys gonna review and talk about The Venture Bros movie that just came out at some point?

The episode about the group of Avatar fans is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. While it might be tempting to make fun of them or call them nerds, Wilson just lets you see them as what they really are: a group of outcasts who’ve come together to bond over something they enjoy. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

YES! The Burton model may be more recognizable as “The Batmobile” but the one from The Animated Series is far-and-away the most attractive. It perfectly fits that gothic art deco aesthetic.

Yep, Twitter doesn’t really line anyone’s pockets, least of all the guy who sunk billions to buy it. I think that’s why it’s by far the angriest and most savagely cutting of all of them - it’s where broke people go to take humongous shits on the rich and beautiful.

Don’t care who he is just that he’s one of the only good things about Twitter.

Absolutely one of the greatest actors who’s ever lived. That’s not hyperbole. The man is in everything, and yet every time he shows up in something he’s a goddamned delight. No joke, he should get a lifetime achievement award at the Oscars as soon as possible. How do we make this happen?

Them not including the handheld entries is a huge miss, especially since those are the only 2D Zelda games since A Link to the Past. When I hear “all the mainline Zeldas” I think “ok so you’re not including the CDi games, Link’s Crossbow Training, or the Tingle game”.There are Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks too,

I loved Tom’s little wind-up speech to Logan before asking, essentially, if it’s OK for Tom to divorce his daughter. Very real, in an enjoyable sense — Tom isn’t really being inarticulate, and you can follow everything he’s saying and understand why he’s saying it, but the constant hedging and ass-covering and

What in the actual Christ is that headline?

If Josh Gad is the highlight we are all in trouble.

Can’t we just have Drunk History back?

One of the best things ‘Frasier’ ever did was bring Lilith back, pair her up with Niles, and let the two lob insults back and forth like ICBMs. I’m particularly fond of this exchange from a Thanksgiving episode.

Who knows what I thought about it, if anything, at the time, but right now in 2023 I’d probably much rather have a Lilith spinoff (revival? whatever) than a Frasier one.

I had been pretty disappointed by the lack of anyone from Frasier showing up, but honestly Lilith goes a LONG way to make up for that. She truly is an incredible character and the jokes at her expense never get old—it helps that she’s usually more than up to the task of throwing them right back.

Yes. One might say .... Lilith fair.

We’ve been binge watching Cheers lately. It’s the first time I’ve watched it since it originally aired and I’m struck by how Lilith isn’t near the shrew that she was made out to be from my memories of watching Frasier. Granted, we’re only at season 9 and they haven’t gotten divorced yet, but she’s a lot NICER than I

It’s interesting as a litmus test just because there’s a much more expansive take than the binary “he’s a hero/he’s a villain”, and that’s that he can both be sympathetic for facing issues everyone does and sometimes wishes they could rail against, while also being an example of someone going off the deep end in a way

I loved Brock simply for the moments of levity on the utter stupidity of the plots and characters sometimes.  You can always see him so at the point of saying ‘Fuck this, I am leaving.’
