For what it’s worth I play a ton of Overwatch and had the exact same thought.

In retrospect, Cernovich’s mistake was taking on Oswalt and specifically those tweets, which have already been enshrined as “masterful.”

Lightninglouie, Empire of the Ants wound be an excellent choice for the next season!

It is all about attitude. The sadder you make rudy’s situation, the more charming his upbeat attitude is. He’s like Butters from south park. The rest of the characters and hell even the creators can die in a fire while screaming that the fire is right for the wrong reasons but butters is never not fun to watch.

Whereas

I wonder if this was another John Barry/Starcrash-type deal, where the producers convinced Silvestri that the movie was a lot nicer than what they’d actually filmed.

It turned up a day early in the post this morning, and yeah it’s pretty unputdownable. The game throws new challengers at you for basically doing literally anything early on, and slows down with that once it sinks its claws in. This ingeniously makes you play with the whole roster quite evenly as it builds. Early

A little less than 20 years ago, a still-finding-its-legs South Park aired a memorable episode called “Gnomes,” which focused both on the omnipresence of Starbucks Coffee (named Harbucks in the episode), as well as little gnomes that steal your underpants in the night, with their ultimate goal being “profit.” That

Say what you will of Bush vis a vis Reagan, but while his filmography is shorter, it’s way better.

That ending with PC, Strong and the babies taking advantage of the Buddha Box epidemic to act like a normal family hit just the right balance of sad and sweet. Even the use of that melancholy country song took me back to the amazing “Landslide” montage at the end of “You’re Getting Old,” albeit much less gut-punching.

This guy has spent the last year just pretending he’s directing a Metal Gear movie in hopes that it will pay off. I respect the hustle.

That was a great episode.

If this ends up just being a ploy to get Yoko Kanno more work and exposed to the world at large, I'm all for it

Serious contender for best theme music ever.

You’re not wrong.

That said, I’d argue that curating a “classic” console doesn’t necessarily require imparting an accurate experience of the time period. We’re very literally being sold our memories (I think I was six or seven when I got my NES, and around 11/12 for the SNES, so Mr. Kohler and I share timeline

Yup. I was about the same age as Mr. Kohler when I bought my own Playstation, and I think the thing he’s getting at here in the article is something that people who either missed (or were just very young during) that time period might not be aware of: for every gem that released on the PSX, there were at least ten to

oh my god THAT’S NOT A BOOM MIC

LOUIS GET OUT OF THE SHOT

Conan’s new podcast is really good. He keeps it moving pretty quickly and smoothly. He also keeps the conversation on the guest really well. It's a fun premise that gives him an excuse to dive into each guests personal life a little more than a regular show would.

Not sure why you’d be tired of it. Podcasts are pretty easy to avoid.

“Fancy guest soaps that smell like an Italian gigolo smoking a grapefruit cigarette”

Side rant: In "Bart of Darkness" when Martin gets his gym shorts ripped off at the end he launches into a rendition of "Summer Wind" and the instrumental continues over the credits ( http://youtu.be/bQD14VPLOLI ) I absolutely adore the arrangement they did for that song and can't find it or any version like it
