Generally, if one wants convey a supercilious you-didn’t-get-to-me tone, you avoid gratuitous name calling: it reads like someone’s who’s been stung lashing out. If you’d stuck to the attempt at condescension of the second half I might have bought it.

I know who this guy and his mother are, and have loathed them for ages BUT... the original tweet genuinely seems intended to have been a self-deprecating joke which everyone ignored because the opportunity for a pile-on was too good to resist.
