Hahahahahaha $40k?????? That’s like $15k of work, tops.

I get single digit MPG numbers when towing my boat. So....range comparison when loaded is probably moot.
I work for a defense contractor. All manufactures in all industries scrimp in some way or another (in my case it’s for utterly maximum weight savings, though penny pinching is a thing even with us). GM is using a fairly cheap nylon 6 based CFRP, which actually has a pretty wide service temperature range that covers…
Accelerated corrosion requires a constant supply of reactants (in this case, a constant barrage of salt). The small amounts of trapped material will not corrode as fast as a completely exposed panel would.
That edge is covered with a fiberglass composite trim piece, so there’s not going to be a ton of direct exposure there. There’s the possibility of some corrosive materials getting stuck in-between I suppose, but it’s better than getting a constant direct blast of salt all winter. Your argument can be applied to any…
You do realize the picture you just posted shows the wheel wells are also CFRP right?
I use all different variants of CFRP in both extremely low and extremely high temperature environments. The material properties are well established/understood through a large temperature range and even if you didn’t test at that specific temperature (which, they likely did), you can easily extrapolate its…
Get a press vehicle and just tow it. That thing isn’t making it out of Michigan, much less halfway across the USA.
Except he got scholarship offers from other Michigan-based public colleges.

I forever wrote off the Escape when I changed a battery in my neighbor’s 2015 model. You can’t change the battery without removing the upper cowling and the wipers (not the wiper blades...the wipers)...or alternatively disassembling half the engine bay.
Oh, and you gotta make sure you put the wipers back into EXACTLY…
If they were truly concerned about bomb making materials they would have evacuated the premises and had the bomb squad come in to ensure the scene is safe. That and they would have absolutely not poured hydrogen peroxide...an extremely powerful oxidizer...onto potentially volitile materials.
This was harassment. Plain…
Rumor is they were arrested while they were parked in front of Tesla superchargers with their brodozers.
There are two components to drag, Cd and frontal area. You can have a higher Cd but lower drag force due to the frontal area that Cd is acting on. Which is why the GT’s drag is likely much lower than the soap bar with wheels the Neon is.
Ignoring all the other points...I’d just like to point out the fundamental misunderstanding you clearly have when it comes to battery fires. If a battery can store 100 kWh of energy for discharge...that does NOT mean it can only create 100 kWh of energy when it burns. Because guess what...even when the battery is…
Ground launched cruise missiles have been in work for a while. The marines are seeking the ability to sink ships and two of the competitors are adaptations of sea or air launched cruise missiles.
I have sold houses in both Texas and Vegas. You might get MAYBE half of what the pool cost to install when you sell the house....and that doesn’t factor in a pool’s regular added costs.
Doubtful. The Chinese have made great strides but they haven’t caught up....yet. I give them another (fighter) generation before they make something we can consider a true peer aircraft.
Their engine technology alone shows they have a long ways to go.
Foreign F-35 pilot cadres are being trained in the US. These countries also regularly participate in large training exercises with US pilots.
With the exception of the twin engines the J-31 more closely resembles the F-35.
