Accelerated corrosion requires a constant supply of reactants (in this case, a constant barrage of salt). The small amounts of trapped material will not corrode as fast as a completely exposed panel would. 

That edge is covered with a fiberglass composite trim piece, so there’s not going to be a ton of direct exposure there.
