This tracks with what my experience was during my short stint experimenting as an Uber driver. After vehicle operating expenses were factored in I was only making about 33 cents per mile over a 1 month period averaging 6-7 rides per night.

My mom came to the US in the ‘80s with me in tow so I got the full experience, especially since most of our family friends were also mostly first generation immigrants too...especially early on. I am 32, and I made a conscious choice to not be so damn hard on my kid(s).

Mark this down as a city I will NEVER move to as long as this dumb ordinance is on the books. My kids are not even close to driving age but when they do get to that point that will be 5-6 cars between me, my project car(s), wife, and 2 kids....all of which I’d like parked on my property if I so choose.
