Congrats on reading your first Torch article. May you enjoy many more.

Another commenter with no idea what a joke is...

As a Lotus owner, Fuck this. Do you know what these feel like in a very stiffly sprung car? Do you know how many parts will fall off my car when going over these?

Road’s closed, pizza boy. Find a new way home!

ooooooh

That’s it, I’m in!

And this is why dealers are cancer. I can’t wait until the dealership model is obsolete, most of them deserve to go out of business. It’s 2017, I can’t see why people can’t just buy directly from the manufacturer. The only thing stopping that are lame state laws.

I came to this realization a few weeks ago when I realized that the cars I look for on craigslist stop after 2006 or so. As a millennial, I think the 1985-2005(ish) two-decade period was the high point in cars. Design was only getting better, power was coming back, things were computerized to a point but not to

This may very well be my former 944. I bought it in 2001 and sold it to someone in Quebec City. May have as well came back to MTL.

Do we live in a world where this level of scary is still possible?

It’s just Porsche hiding us from the truth. The new GT2 uses the 914-4 derived 1.7 Type IV engine making a whopping 80hp. Wake up and see the light people! The age of the aircooled is upon us

Oh sad days! I have to drive a 996 or a 997. Ratfarts!!

I was in your exact same scenario 1 year ago - a few questions:

I mean this in the nicest way possible...

the 996 is the best looking 911. Especially in MK1 GT3 form.

Nope.

They’ve all been driving high performance cars for 20-40 years, I think they are qualified. The fact that they only have a crash every few years is a testament to that.

I feel terrible for laughing at this but... god damn if that isn’t funny. I wonder if they’ll work that in as a bit...

But here’s hoping Hamster makes it out all right :)

“Well James, he’s driven off a cliff and is now engulfed in flames”
