My wife and I owned one. I eventually grew to hate it.

I wonder if the focus group that nixed the last design was a sub for the “focus group” in the commercials that thought a Malibu was a $30k, $40k, $50k, or maybe even $60k car...
West coast canadian here...Intermecchanica has been around a long time selling 356 replicas. They’re fairly common around Vancouver and the PNW in general. You’ll see at least one at every air-cooled meet around here. Their capacity to manufacture EVs remains to be seen. It’s well outside their traditional place in…

35 here and I get the same feelings towards 80s and 90s cars. Where I differ from my parents generation is the need to over-restore the cars and treat them like a trophy. I love the trend of driver quality, original cars with patina, reliability mods, etc that are actually driven and used.
So what you’re saying is that my 944 with black seats and carpet swapped into a previously brown interior is pretty much a koenigsegg? (Goes to edit CL ad to add koenigsegg to the bottom for no reason)...
I’m in my late 40s. That means I was a teenager through much of the 80s. At that time, stuff from the 50s and early 60s constituted classics, in terms of car design. 70s cars just looked outdated. 80s cars were what was new. Today, people my age are prime car nut material - old enough to be done with the tough years…
So Consumer Reports gives cars it tests highs and lows. I shit you not, when Consumer Reports tested the Dodge Nitro they listed its high points as: Not much. I wish I could find a picture of that.
The Mini is fun to drive. The Nitro has no redeeming qualities.
There aren’t a lot of really bad people on the Internet, but we hear about every one of them.
Do people still send the old school death threats through mail or is it mostly email and texts these days? Something charming about receiving a letter with type face cut out of various news and magazine clippings detailing the horrific demise I’m about to face.
This is disappointing. Not because BMW is losing sales to Benz. Because they are losing their identity. The ultimate driving machine used to actually mean something. A X4 gran coupe M-sport whatever the hell has no idea what it wants to be. BMW seems to be answering many questions that no one asked, and this…
India has nothing on us in Australia
I find it appeeling.
Basically Velocity wants to remove the entire reason for watching Wheeler Dealers. Sorry to Mike, but aside from the trouble spots he seemed to look for, watching the shopping/haggling/sales process was boring and inconsequential. You knew the car would have problems, you knew he would deal down, and you knew they…

RWD, rear-engined...what’s the problem here?
I blame Toyota for this crap. They are the ones that pioneered the idea of “Sporty Shit-box” with their Corolla S; a Corolla with some ground effects and interior accents. Now everyone has jumped on the bandwagon with commercials of drivers hooning customers around a track in boring econoboxes, wowing them at its ...…
My NA z32 was transformed by ditching the stock two piece driveshaft that weighed 34 pounds for a z1 Motorsport single piece at 13 pounds. Along with a flywheel that lost 12 pounds it made the car roar to redline with increasing fury, as opposed to the stock setup where she pulled harder down low but never gives you…
