You laugh, but the EF Civic Si and the DC2 Integra Type-R are still dominant in SCCA autocross.
That’s a good theory and it makes sense. But I’m just saying that it shouldn’t take that much to give SOME kind of performance upgrade.
I don’t know if the special editions take that much time to dream up. Most or all of the parts are optional add-ons already, with the exception of different color stitching or interior colors. I have a completely unfounded theory that one of the reasons they have these is for when there’s an overstock on the option…
Ok, I’ll tell them!
Back in the day, McLaren Engines was a spinoff of Bruce’s Can-Am race car business. He founded it in Michigan as a convenient place to rebuild his engines without having to ship them back to England. After his death, the companies split up and agreed to pursue separate lines of work: McLaren UK would build race cars,…
Just change the oil and give it a wash, it’ll be like new.
I used to think that. I mean, shit my only car for over a decade has 2 seats a manual transmission 300 hp and RWD. But....I rode in my friend’s regularly driven elise a while back and....yeah....its not that it can’t be done its more like, i live in the northwest and its hairball in the wet and everyone is out to hit…
I drove an autobox CX-5 and honestly, it was lovely.
I’d drive an elise daily too, not as the only car available to use but definitely the one id use most.

I had a first-gen MR2. I loaded both trunks with groceries several times. I literally made Costco runs in a 1985 MR2. Come at me.
My prediction is MR2 Cross. I mean, the eclipse needs a competitor now that it’s an SUV.
They are taking the stance that there is a free market for information, and once information becomes public, there is a much larger disadvantage for not using it than to acquiesce to an automaker’s request and have the advantage of a good relationship.
I think we found an automaker PR person.
The reason a lot of millenials can’t drive manual transmissions is that their parents don’t own manuals transmission cars for them to learn in. As parents, we have responsibility to give our kids the tools they need to develop these skills.
You suck for helping perpetuate this meme.
- Millenial with many manuals
Time for an Insurance Discount for all Manual transmissions....it’s the least annoying anti-theft device out there.
