I drove my ~300 horse, ~1900lb 818R to work today. What an AWFUL car to drive on the road. Breaks traction in third gear easily. That said, still a blast to drive to work, even slowly. The looks you get in that thing...

When we asked for a CRX we got a CR-Z. We didn’t ask for the CR-Z.
I miss flashing neon and big body kits :( call me a ricer all you want. haha
I just dusted off my PS2 the other day and started playing Underground. I'm a VW guy but chose... the Neon. Car's a champ in the game. Screw the haters. Haha
When you grow up in the middle of nowhere and you’re not interested in trees or foliage - you’ve got to find other ways to entertain yourself. That’s all I can say.
I am serious, as for underbody panels and diffuser work those are of a higher priority. I have a 2013 Jetta, and could use a diffuser also. This awesome that you have started to do research! I was wondering how long it would take for people to start using 3d printers to create their own functional Aero! I need to get…
You sir, i would like to commission your 3d cad skills for a wing design!
Thank you so much for being a Tiburon supporter. My friends always made fun of me. I had a moderately boosted one and it was so much fun to drive. I crashed into a wall at 75 and survived. I totaled Elisa that day and cried but holy shit was that fun.
I always really liked the second gen Tiburon’s looks. I think Hyundai did an excellent job with it’s style- it hides its FWD/economy car looks better than a lot of other, similar coupes did at the time.
Bring back the Tiburon!
Actually that does make perfect sense. The Gen Coupe (which I almost purchased a few years back) was a nice vehicle, decently spec’d, missing a few features (like a backup camera, which I felt it needed ‘cause seeing out the back of that thing was a joke), it just was missing something, and the price point was similar…
Just call it the Tiburon! Don't kill the damned thing, it's amazing!
Bring back the Tiburon name and make it a legit affordable RWD sport coupe to force the Toyobaru to up their game. “Shark” is the perfect name for a sport coupe that has some actual bite to go with its bark. The way Hyundai is nailing it these days, I have no doubt they could outdo Toyobaru the same way the Focus RS…
Once again, the UK left ruing what could have been.
Their Coupe sold so well over here (I think it was called the Tiburon, or maybe Tuscani in the U.S?). This would have made such a logical progression from that. Ah well.
Revive the TIBURON
Here, I just did the research:
If you pay $800 for an oil change and a belt then you deserve to be taken advantage of. I guarantee that the Bentley uses the same oil as any other car. Heck, I have an E39 M5 that uses special 10W60 oil, and my oil + filter changes cost me less than $100 since I do them myself. Serpentine belts are pretty…
If you can wrench on it yourself it really won’t be any worse than a typical BMW or Jag of the era. Speaking of BMW, you’ll see a lot of BMW parts in it, since they had a pretty big hand in supplying the parts for it. For example, the climate control unit in the Arnage is lifted straight out of an E38 7 series, but…
That South American first part episode is one of my very, very favorite Top Gears of all time. it’s a pity the political shennanigans stole the show. Brilliant cars, brilliant scenary, brilliant use of Butch Cassidy, and a nice opening-up from Jeremy (he was always best when he let us peak behind the veneer).
(not sorting through 116 comments to see who beat me to it)
