so a personal experience that is relevant to this. As a non-US citizen I had to go through fingerprinting and foreign visitor registration when travelling to the US. this involves sitting in an interrogation room for 2-3 hours (basically long enough where they make sure you will miss your flight by letting you go just

it looks like this feature is going to spawn quite a few of those lame ufo sighting videos. this is exactly the kind of shaky zoomed in and out on vague random objects footage i see in those videos. at night.

well they're trying to be different by being exactly the same as the people they blame for being conformists to the apple marketing machine. so uhhh yeah i guess they do have to post every single bloody time. all they want is some acceptance and a bit of love and validation.

yep you're rght nothing fundamental has changed in os7, just the makeup. I'm too heavily invested in the ios ecosystem though (apps, airplay devices, mac mini htpc's, mac books, ipads, etc), plus i love the ease of not having to maintain my equipment so no android for me.

MS has been aspiring to dominate our living rooms for so long that it forgot that their aspirations have to evolve in order to get to their stated goal. They're a few years too late to the living room media party.

i'd imagine a 0.4inch screen difference should convert to a bigger physical difference as well. I'm an iphone user, would jump on the htc one mini as a second phone because its so gorgeous, but the size is crippling.

yes ! unpatriotic heathens! open up your wallets and your lives in the name of misplaced patriotism!

didn't twitter say they dont comply with ANY requests? In fact i read that a while ago and then in one of the PRISM related gizmodo articles a few days ago. It was admirable that they were standing up for something, but it seems it might have just been PR at work.

when an app auto updates, when you go into the updates section of app store it shows what has been updated (by date) and you can click the arrow to see changes.

So the downside is worse battery life?

its not about being a new OS, its about the willingness by apple to support older hardware. why didnt nokia's wp7 devices get wp8? less than year old phones. why are android phones outdated befroe they are even announced in terms of os (minus the nexus line)? forget about updates after 12-18 months if you're even

iphone 4 is from june 2010. thats 3 years. still an accomplishment i think. nokia keeps dropping support for its very recently released hardware the minute the ew winpho came out ( 8 i think). rim i dont know about bb10 but up til os7 it was ridiculous to expect your year old phone to get a new os. android...well we

the only thing it would be nice to have on my 4s would be airdrop. But i can live without it.

people keep talking about multitasking being new, and i keep asking the same question. how is multitasking new? because it has a new card layout and you can see a preview of where you left your app?? i didn't see anything in the keynote giz liveblog indicating theres anything new going on.

where is this setting to limit background app network access? just looked can't find it.

see your post is dripping with a subconscious need for acceptance. why does everything have to be about a "side" or being "cool". or picking "right" or "wrong". why can't things just be without picking sides, and just saying hey, this works for me, nice. apple can sell as many or as few devices as it wants, not gonna

on behalf of all apple fans i would like to extend the "worlds number 1 smartphone fan" award to you. you sir are ahead of the curve. granted you had nothing to do with designing this. but you have amazing choice in choosing a platform that got this feature first. clapping for you. you can rest easy now that you've

can you even close apps with beta 1? on my 4s every time i try to swipe away an app by sliding up or down it slides half way, then my phone does restart with the apple logo showing up. tried rebooting many times, home power, etc no luck.

plus the s2's slide anywhere moved the whole desktop wallpaper off the screen in a jerky stuttery way. the ipohne slide anywhere moves away the top layer smoothly.

i saw this on the galaxy s2 somebody showed me a while ago. I thought it was bizarre. and so uncouth. slide ANYWHERE? what lazy programming. But now on ios 7 i can't believe how amazingly convenient it is.
