@minibeardeath: What foot... I mean patent are you referring to?

@BaconForTheSoul: Yes, it happens readily in some areas I frequent with 5 bars displayed. Showing 2 bars less after the next software update isn't going to improve things a bit. That's why I begrudgingly bought a bumper, so I wouldn't have to worry about it anywhere, even when I'm unaware of the possibility. It makes

@robert101455: You forgot to add that Google has copied some of the iPhone's most distinctive features, such as Apple's patented multitouch on a capacitive display. If Google hadn't emulated the iPhone sufficiently, Android would be nowhere.

@ddhboy: Show us the patents. (And of course you mean Oracle now, not Sun).

@minibeardeath: The great artist Picasso. Then Steve Jobs. I'm sorry, was that phrase copyrighted? Trademarked? Otherwise, what's your point? Please, let's stay on topic: Apple redefined the smartphone market in 2007, and Google followed. If you dispute this, provide evidence to the contrary.

@Krutch: You are dead wrong, Krutch. For instance, Microsoft's idea of multitouch was the honking Surface, which uses projection displays and camera detectors. Apple's recently patented multitouch on a capacitive display was filed for in 2006. There was nothing else like it. Google stole it flat out. If you're going

@Mayor McRib: In my book, when Apple has a patent (as it does) for multitouch on a capacitive display and Google implements the same and aids others (HTC, Motorola) to do the same, that's stealing.

Really, the pros don't use Sony point-and-shoots for their bread-and-butter shots? I did not know that.

You're kidding. They got the random number generator wrong?

"But somehow I suspect the venn diagram of 12 year old girls and Steve Jobs fans doesn't have too big of an intersection."

Wow, that's so futuristic, I can't believe this came to my own mind years ago... except without the honking hardware. Don't know how I missed that.

Who needs fireworks, when we have liquid oxygen and barbeques to burn?

@halopower67: Hey, great, you live in Miami. Try the test indoors somewhere, like in a metal enclosed elevator, away from the beauty. It may be best when you can find a secluded place that shows only 4 bars or marginally 5. 5 bars doesn't necessarily mean the signal is strong.

Correction: receipt of iPhone 4 was on Wednesday... Friday night was more than 2 days of ownership and usage.

As of Friday night (not quite 2 days of ownership), my reception issue—the proverbial "death grip" which was easily and consistently reproducible in multiple metropolitan locations with 5 bars of signal and effectively blocked all cellular signal—can no longer be reproduced.

@Halfnelson117: Actually he works for Apple and he created this scenario as part of an ad campaign for the bumpers. Your contribution to the project is appreciated.

@se7a7n7: I don't even see any spilled milk.

What a POS non-scientific report. Block can't even identify what scratched it? Surely nothing in his environment is harder than iPhone glass. lolz

@TheTrollPatrol: Choice is the upshot of his comment, he just didn't know it.
