maybe not hating russia but definitely trying to rally public support for action against russia, when chances are we are already doing stuff behind the things.

Being cozy with Russia probably has some benefit to his business or business partners. I’ve always viewed Trump as a more isolationist than anything tbh and let others deal with their own stuff.

I don’t see why people should be more worried about the invasion of Ukraine any more so than China building man made Islands or Isreal building settlements.

every country does a lot of stuff in it’s own self interest but most of the stuff done gets a blurb in the news then gets dropped. the military is doing a lot of stuff right now but we don’t really hear about it. so i’m not really against us retaliating against russia as we need to do what we need to do to protect

i was being facetious - but the media does come off that way in how they word things or cover things

yeah. we should be rallying towards improving our own security and cyber security. funding students to study computer science. as opposed to playing a blame game and finding a new entity to hate so we can go to war again

+100. we meddle so much around the world so to get mad russia at this really makes me question what agenda there is.

Sure, so the main headline should be “US gov investing in new ways to fight against cyber crime/terrorist” as opposed to constant I hate russia agenda. Frankly, I have nothing against russians, and I’m not gonna start hating them like we hated the Japs in the 40s, viets in the 60s, afghans in the 00s, just cuz the gov

Russia doesn’t do anything worse than any other country.

I haven’t seen evidence that Russia hacked the DNC but let’s assume that it’s true, why is the government trying so hard to turn public perception of Russia into a negative one. It feels like once the masses sour on Russia, then the gov can go to war.

my thought exactly. countries meddling in other country’s affairs has been going on since the beginning of time so why is this a big deal now and why is the gov continuing to push this agenda, even when it’s clear public sentiment hasn’t completely agreed otherwise it’ll be all over the news.

Russia does things that are ‘bad’ for us if you are an extreme pro-US patriot but if you look at it from an unbaised viewpoint, the things they do is no different than from what most countries do - which is they do stuff in their best interest. I personally don’t hate Russia nor like them, but I do find it weird that

Why now? Why not 5 years ago?

you must have only been watching your liberal sheltered news because there are many people that are violent that have self proclaimed to be blm supporters or members.

never heard someone that and honestly believe it lol. you musta been trolled. with that said, it is ignorant for libs to think that racism only exists in us and isn’t worse elsehwere, like in europe lol. probalby worse in europe than here.

Anybody else find it strange that the government recently has made such a big effort to paint Russia in a bad light? I do, and I’m not gonna support a war and get brainwashed into what the elites want me to think.

lol my exact thought. like seriously, everyone knows allergic reactions can be overcome with gradual exposure

apparently grammar matters online

i’m surprised this is even on gizmodo tbh

no, both sides have those that are violent, immoral, close-minded, unaccepting BUT there’s only one side that likes to paint itself as progressive, open-minded, morally superior, and better than thou and that’s the libs
