Criminals have rights too. If you shoot an intruder, you are gonna get sued and pay for his medical expenses. (Unless you of course killed him and he can’t live to complain about the use of excessive force...)

That’s what I’m thinking. You could get in trouble if an intruder breaks into your home and you shoot him but not kill him as that’s excessive force and he can make that claim if he survives.
