You do not want to mess with Heath Slater, the dude is/was an amateur boxer and knows how to hit. He isn’t small either. He may play a goof on TV but he knows how to hurt people. I have all of those games except Undertale (have it on PC) and Graceful Explosion Machine.

It didn’t click for me until I was out on my own and I realized the people that made the most money had a lot of money to begin with. Those that followed their non-traditional-career dreams had something to fall back on like family they could live with or a serious amount of cash padding right out of school. 

This is a common thread I see dealing with “Pro” magic players (quotes because most I talk to have lucked into a few pro points and that’s it) people don’t realize how much money you need to have to make money at these kinds of hobbies.

D&D is usually a bit more diverse than Magic can be, simply because most groups tend to start with a couple friends and branch out from there. Not to say horrible people don’t exist in dungeons and dragons, but it is less prevalent if you stay within similar social circles.

A lot of it also comes down to local communities and Local Game Stores. They need to start policing bad behavior, inappropiate comments and slang terms that make non-white, non-male individuals stay away more often than not.
