If someone were to dress up in a gorilla costume, no problem, most people wear a mask, and it is clearly a gorilla.

If someone were to dress up in a gorilla costume with a visible face but paint their face brown.....that would definitely cause quite a bit of questioning on the motivation.

The issue is the combination of perceived blackface while being dressed like an ape-like creature. Both of those things are often used to ridicule african-americans in the states, so the producers decided to avoid the drama all together and just not air the episode rather than gut it significantly.

Considering the amount of times people have equated african-americans to animals, especially primates -in recent history, even-, when you combine it with a white person dressing up as a primate and wearing brown facepaint.....yeah it is better to just avoid the controversy completely.

Yes it does as an optional control scheme. I have used it a couple times, and it works very well, but I prefer my pro controller.

Any chance this could work in the states? I would love to figure out a way to get this working on my phone here.

Plenty of people who may not have other systems play them online, or they may not have a computer that can run games like fortnite at a reasonable pace, so the switch is a great option for them. I prefer the portability of the switch rather than playing on my PC for most games available. Just sitting back and playing

This is true, mainly because it isn’t out yet.

If we are including upcoming games: Smash, Monster Hunter: Generations (I think it will have online play), Fifa, Sonic Racing, Dragonball FighterZ, and probably others I am forgetting.

Is this sarcasm?

Fortnite, Splatoon, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, NBA, Doom, Minecraft, Rocket League are all frequently played online.

First I love the screen name. Darmok references make me happy.
Second I think this just applies to digital games, as it says in the article.

She rolls her eyes because you stated a fact as an opinion.

Bob Barker wasn’t “good” at it, he was incredible, sir.

Did I miss a memo? I didn’t see any Chinese actors in the film or Chinese locations?

Kelly Marie Tran was born in America and her parents are Vietnamese, if you were saying she is of Chinese nationality.

This is what I need to know.

Have you not seen Rogue One? Star wars is a huge playground for tons of different stories of all sizes, it was nice to have a main character not be a legendary chosen person and instead see that everyone can contribute. Look at the opening scene and the amazing story it told, even though it ended in basically failure.

This. This is exactly why I liked her. She was flawed, human and average. It showed the humanity of the Star Wars series, which has been lacking for a long while.

It was nice to see someone who wasn’t a skywalker or chosen one, or mystical space wizard, or legendary criminal, getting down and dirty.

This is already an issue with Steam, and it goes farther back than this policy announcement. When you search for literally any kind of Simulator game you get dozens of results that all seem legit but most are absolute cash-in garbage. Trying to wade through the trash has gotten bad these days and a policy like this

That is exactly what will happen, without a doubt. This kind of decision will result in people paying more attention to the controversial and extreme titles on the service, and as sites like this and others bring them up, publishers will not want to be associated with a company that is allowing extreme controversial

Which has become a major issue that Amazon is cracking down significantly on. See all the books that are being sold as “200 pages” but in reality is a short story that barely would qualify as a Tumblr post followed by stolen or filler text for the following 199 pages. This is increasingly common. The same goes for

The dog argument is not really the best comparison. Games are reasonably harmless, though they can be offensive. Dogs like Pugs and other similar breeds often have horribly short or unhealthy lives. Obviously you know this, as you brought it up.

No one is saying anyone can’t make a an edgy or racist game.
People are

No one is saying that people can’t make those games. Rock on, do your thing.
Steam does not need to give those games a platform if it so chooses. The view is that with a hands-off approach they are encouraging games that would not be accepted on other platforms to be on Steam. Is that what Steam really wants to be, or
