Exactly. There’s no way to spin this particular bit.
It’s the “his own people” that’s most telling. At a subconscious, gut-belief level, Spicer doesn’t consider Jewish Germans and Austrians to be Germans and Austrians, i.e. Hitler’s people. He considers them wholly Other in a way that is analogous to Hitler’s own Othering of Jews, gays, Communists, dissenters, etc.
Is the Holocaust Center like a mall? Or like a sports arena, like the Staples Center? Does Sean spell it fancy, like Centre?

We try to reason and they accuse us of persecution. They spew vile shit and we say, “Well, everyone is entitled to an…
When people stop defending this kind of racism just because a guy plays games on a stream.
It’s hard to argue with someone who believes in racial purity and somehow conflates indentured servitude with chattel slavery. That sort of person us just a bigot
So is unsubscribing considered demonizing someone now? How about showing direct quotes from them? Showing their Twitter posts? Because that’s all I’m seeing here.
Right, words don’t mean anything and never lead to action.
Well, at what point do we stop demonizing murder and instead try to teach murderers not to murder?
Why would one stop demonizing bigotry?
‘LALALALALALALALALA I CAN’T HEAR YOU! NOW I’M GOING TO DEFUND PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND SO I CAN LOWER TAXES FOR MY FRIENDS!’
When someone says something stupid it’s a teaching moment. Don’t just yell at me that I’m wrong, explain to me why I’m wrong.
But some of what he says here isn’t. We ‘re quick to label people we don’t agree with.
