OMG, a murder suspect is interrogated...for days. This is something that surely wouldn’t happen in the good ole US of A, where murder suspects are routinely placed into luxury suites of 5 star hotels and rarely bothered with intrusive questions by law enforcement, esp. foreigners! She came up with his name, b/c she

Are you kidding me? You make it sound like Italy is one big Guantanamo prison. Knox was not submitted to enhanced interrogation techniques American style, aka torture. She was not secretly transported to some blacksite in Syria or elswhere around the world. Italy is a state under the rule of law that does not believe

No I am a gringo. I lived in Seattle when this case broke in 2007. As much as the British Media was hysterical about this case, (they went batshit crazy over Amanda’s Facebook and My Space web pages) There was some very strong evidence against all three.

Plz point out where I lectured you on the intricacies of the Italian judicial system. I’ll wait.

There is plenty of incriminating evidence against Guede, Knox and Sollecito.. Circumstantial evidence like opportunity, there is plenty of direct evidence from the bloody footprint in the bathroom, Amanda and Meredith’s blood mixed in a couple places in the house.

That’s awesome. Lehane is perhaps my favorite writer.

So, she was just making a funny when she fingered the barman, Patrick Lumumba, as the murderer when she was interrogated by the police? A man who was completely innocent, oh and also black, just like Guede. But nevermind!

Argo fuck yourself Ben

This movie has a family tie to me because my father gave some historical advice for the Florida section in the book to Dennis Lehane. As a reward, Lehane partly named a murdered mobster in the book after my dad, so I hope I can see my dad’s namesake get killed onscreen.

The United States executed a child less than 80 years ago and people act like the US justice system was fantastic until Serial and Making a Murderer told them otherwise. Give me a break. The Amanda Knox case was only shocking because the folks who were shocked couldn’t conceive of someone like *them* being treated

I think she’s innocent, but she wouldn’t have gotten half the coverage if places like Jezebel didn’t relate to this woman. “Oh, she’s white and upper middle class, she reminds me so much of myself when I was her age.” Bleh.

Well, judging from the gist of comments here, Americans and their justice system seem to be vastly superior to this third world country namd Italy, where medieval hordes run amok, violating young and pretty American maids.

As far as protests go, I consider it to be a very subtle and respectful one. It’s not like he is dumping tea in the harbor or secretly fomenting revolution against a king...

Right, and the sad thing is she doesn’t need that level of desperation. Her brand is incredibly successful and worth millions. But I’m guessing it’s not the money but the ‘fame’ she wants so desperately.

LuAnn definitely has her faults and lying seems to be one of them, but if I had to be stuck on an deserted island with either her or Bethenny, I would absolutely choose LuAnn. In fact, LuAnn and Sonja would be tied for first choice, followed by Dorinda, Jules, Ramona, Andy, (fill in the name of almost anyone here),

Team Luann! I admit she has her faults, obvs, but ever since she joyfully cackled at Aviva’s LEG a couple seasons ago she catapulted to Best Housewife Ever. It was the most genuine moment in Housewives history. I see the real Luann underneath all the layer of Countess and she is actually “cool”! I wish she had enough

Bethenny is a horrible person. She is so deeply unhappy and bitter, and she just takes it out on everyone. And Girl, all the product placement just REEKS of desperation. Stop.

I found it hard to get through this reunion because somehow Bethenny is even more miserable and insufferable vs when she’s on the actual show.

They are screenshots of texts collected by the police. Why do you even need an “if this is true.”?

Welp, this seems to be in line with exactly what he has been saying.
