I would agree that The Terminal is the most minor Spielberg film. But my vote for his actual worst would be Hook.

If they cast Kim Dickens as Ben Grimm in a future Fantastic Four movie, it would be great casting.
The obvious choice for that would be a slow, goth-piano girl rendition of "Mr. Sandman," but it seems like American Horror Story may have already trotted that out for one season.
It also needs an old hit song re-recorded as a slow, portentous, sub-Tori Amos piano ballad.
It's a stupid cliche to claim a celebrity you've never met and has no clue that you even exist is your friend, but I don't give a fuck. I've bumbled my way through the day today with the feeling that one of my best friends has packed up and moved out of town, and while he makes assurances we'll see each other again,…
I think it was this very site that pointed out that it's the only Christmas special to applaud genocide.
Christmas in July is insane. Who the hell thought anyone wanted to see Rudolph getting framed for robbing a box office?
It also has the most psychedelic ode to lust to ever turn up in a Christmas special, Jessica's solo spot "My World is Beginning Today," in which she lets down her hair and announces in no uncertain terms that when she sits on Kris Kringle's lap, she's going to give him a hell of a lot more than a kiss for a toy.
Definitely. It was important for the show to start at least a few months in advance of Winter Soldier, because it raised the stakes for both the series and the movie.
The idea that she might be Madame Masque had me wondering if maybe Ward might eventually become the Hood.
Agreed, but I do think that they had the long term plan in mind during the first half of season 1. I just think they didn't execute very well. That first handful of episodes should've been much more concerned with character development and world building while they were treading water waiting for Winter Soldier. But…
Now that the first season is out on disc and Netflix, it seems to work a lot better when marathoned than it did when watching it live. Part of that is knowing what to expect, so any disappointment over the more pedestrian aspects of the season was already taken care of on the first viewing.
The English Howling Commando in the first Captain America movie was a Falsworth rather than Percy Pinkerton, so the groundwork is there for Union Jack and the whole Falsworth clan, including Spitfire and Baron Blood, though not sure if they will want to bring vampires into the Marvel cinematic universe. Although they…
My thoughts exactly. If their planned midseason finale/now series finale has enough of an ending to serve as a reasonably satisfying conclusion to the story, it'll take some of the sting out of the cancellation.
Mainly just stuff that I received as Christmas gifts back in high school - Approved by the Motors, Sandinista, the Residents Commercial Album, the Motels Careful.
Songs of Innocence is definitely making me think I might need to retire from the post.
I'm one of the few U2 apologists left standing not named David Fricke or Jann Wenner, and I can't remember anything off the album except that godawful Joey Ramone song. I recall thinking the back half of it ain't bad at all, but God forbid anyone ask me to hum a few bars of anything contained therein.
Yeah, but it's sometimes an excuse to pile on someone for doing nothing intrinsically wrong - case in point, Leskanich's inclusion on this list. If "Walking on Sunshine" never became a massive hit, then Katrina and the Waves would most likely be a fondly remembered 80s cult power pop band with some cool connections…
"One hit wonder" is a loaded term, in that it implies that an artist had only one song worth hearing. Sometimes that's true, but in other cases, it's an unfair dismissal of a band/artist with a hell of a lot more to offer.
Yeah, I didn't really want to use the word, but I couldn't think of another shorthand that fit. Let's just say if Ask Me Another on NPR accepted fictional characters as contestants, I have a feeling the main couple from Saga would appear on the show sooner rather than later.
