If you’ve never seen one in person it’s completely different. Good looking or not they have presence orders of magnitude over even an S-Class. Things are gigantic, like Suburban long and as tall as a standard crossover.

These are a lot more rare than any of the other highly depreciated luxury cars aside from maybe the mid-2000s Maybach. And you only see the truly rich that want to show off, but there’s as just as many truly rich that do not flaunt their wealth like that. There’s enough of them that these do get snagged by them as a…
Corvette: New tires. The ones currently on it are 12 years old, and I planned on doing them every year for the past few years but something else comes up that’s a priority (usually tires and service on our dailies) and I end up not driving it more than a few times to work anyways. Last year I replaced my daily and…
JFC the daily commute isn’t the point.
Why is the WRX too small? We fit two kids in rear-facing seats and two 30 lb dogs into either my Giulia or my wife’s Macan on longer trips no problem. The key is just don’t bring everything along. The biggest thing you’ll need to bring to a cabin is a pack and play for the kid, but you can remove that by having one…
For one kid? Depending on how big the dogs really are a minivan could be a necessity or outright stupid. We fit two 30 lb dogs and two kids in rear-facing seats in my Giulia for weekend cabin trips.
It’s pretty obvious to me. Turbo cars used to be the sporty version of a model, and a hood scoop is a cheap way for the manufacturer to make the car look sportier. Now that everything is turbocharged, there’s no point. We’re also at a point where other designations for sporty cars are more common i.e. loud exhaust,…
My FIL and BIL both have Ford trucks and literally never have their keys on them, they just keep them in the car. Granted they both live in smaller towns so not worried about theft but it’s weird to me who always has my keys in my pocket no matter if I’m with my car or not.
Newer Mercedes even turn on the driver’s ventilated seat (if equipped) when you put all the windows down from the key. You can also use the door handle lock touch spot to put them all up.
I enjoy watching stuff about supercars occasionally, especially about the day to day stuff and older ones, but usually one YTer is enough per car, everyone having a Huracan or McLaren is dumb.
All the under-seat and in-seat storage in the Dodge Journey. How nice would be to have a space to store all the shit that you just keep in your car all the time that’s not under the trunk floor. So you can keep your trunk clear but also don’t need to get everything out if you need that one thing you’re storing.
2024 was a tough year for Alfa sales for many reasons other than the product quality. Right after I got mine in April they had a recall and stop-sale for months. Also, on the buy side rates are still high, while rates are low for lease but the combination of being an Italian car and used car prices dropping has been a…
I’m nowhere near a boomer (I’m 33) and got a new 2024 Giulia about 9 months ago. They updated some tech for 24 but it’s admittedly still a little outdated. I would say it’s equivalent to a 2019 car in terms of tech, but in the best way possible since it has adaptive cruise with autosteer, carplay, etc but also has…
At least around me the Tonka truck fantasy bros that don’t want to go with an HD truck have been switching to the Tundra the past year or two, new Ram buyers seem to be more along the lines of GMC Sierra buyers now.
I feel like Ram could come up with a pretty good name for a Maverick competitor like they did with TRV vs. Raptor. I could easily see a Ram Iceman or RamPage (riff off old Ford Courier)
That’s the thing though, a lot of AMGs are actually really robust powertrains. The 5.5l turbo V8 especially is a really reliable powertrain, it’s just the other normal E/GLE-class stuff you need to worry about like blind spot sensors and airmatic. Even the original 2.0L in the CLA/GLA45 are pretty reliable, but this…
Why not? Because my name’s not Jeremy Jamm.
No it’s not a “convincing product.” We don’t want to be convinced, we want something we actually want to drive and enjoy. If speed was the only factor we’d just be driving EVs. This isn’t a “you just need to drive it to understand” argument, because the people that have driven and reviewed it publicly are not…
But, Gap insurance covers you for something that’s out of your control. Trading in a car is certainly your own choice, you don’t have to do it.
None of them, and not because I don’t want an EV but because there’s really no point.
