I was actually BORED for the first 20 minutes. Checking my phone bored. I know they need to set up some narrative pieces, but there was no need for a lot of that business, including the weirdly disaffected funeral scene. Jon’s rallying speech did nothing for me at all.

Book Dany was horribly annoying, petulant, and willfully ignorant too. So they got that right. I do think Emilia Clarke did a surprisingly good job at showing Dany’s rising, insane anger, and I only say this because I do not think Emilia Clarke is that great of an actor.
