I’d blame auto-correct but it was just me. :)

Maybe I want her to be an admiral, did you even consider that! ;)

It’s admiral that she was willing to commit a crime to seek help for this sick kid, and utterly disgusting that she had to do this just to get medical care for a sick kid. Where’s her gofundme?

My 8-year old is doing the “you’re stuck with it!” bit over asking “what?” Been going on a month now and he howls with laughter every time I ask “what?”

BYE THEN!

There’s only so much room at the top, mister, and that was already my plan. back off.

“Kids, you may be only 4 and 8, but I swear - quit your complaining - that if you live through this, your potential future children will thank you. Tighten that damn belt.”

Me too, it sounds great actually. As a Vermonter who has been told many times that I seem like I come from CA (I guess us Vermonters rock many of the same health/laid back vibes), at 45 years old, I’ve cut back on alcohol, dairy, and sugars. I do yoga, teas, and ginger waters. I feel so much better and have energy and

I think RobNYC means Malek, not Singer.

Rami was perfect for this part. Ignoring Singer’s reputation and the accusations by clear victims of Singer’s is the fault of the studio, not Malek. Your response is great.

Intellectually I understand greed, apathy, ambition, and narcissism. Emotionally I can’t reconcile the utter disregard for other humans or the lack of concern the larger impact these behaviors have on our culture and society...where does that come from? There is a distinct breed of people, in my mind, who operate on

NPR suggests its Russians or a bot, and another poster here says the same. I don’t follow the account, but either way, we saw what we saw. The point is the focus of the news media on erasing the situation as the clearly racist event it was.

I agree with that part of the reporting actually, but that’s all they reported on, with several experts and scholars on how these sorts of accounts create division, etc. But my major point is that in their coverage of the Covington Boys, there has been no attempt to criticize the actions of the boys or their group.

Don’t leave out NPR, their coverage since Monday has been all about erasing the blatant white privilege and racism in this video. This morning they ran with a story about the Twitter account that initially shared the video. Apparently it’s a highly liberal political account that’s “unverified” (with 40K followers,

I’m reading This Naked Mind right now to cut back/quit alcohol and the author discusses in detail how our drinking culture is so influential on why and how we drink. Anyway, no particular point but it was recommended to me on here so if anyone’s interested in reading about their relationship with alcohol, particularly

That doesn’t work and it’s still making it her job to teach him how to do his part. My husband is quite oblivious and happy to live in filth. No one is their own worst enemy here.

My GODDESS! The labor in sparing men’s feelings because they don’t bother to try what any human can do (women are not pre-disposed to this shit, what?) is more work than all the things in that beautiful, exhausting list you’ve provided.

Savannah Guthrie lined up an interview immediately, so now this turd has a national audience to hear him whine about feeling intimidated and confused.

Probably unpopular, but I thought her announcement and subsequent media moves would be deeply affective and rhetorical. This was pretty bland, and I feel like it’s because her campaign doesn’t want to offend anyone? Which, no, strategy-wise. Offend people. The time is now.

Don’t forget, “no one knew how complicated, they didn’t know but now I know and more people are beginning to know” ....
