How about that Genesis Collection on Switch, Sega? I’d kind of rather have that. Or get to choose between both.

Mostly late ports and indies and little exclusive content, so like Vita

Their output of new vs old Wii U ports so far is unsatisfying

All the ports coming to switch vs new/original content has me rolling my eyes but if we’re getting Saturn and Dreamcast remakes and updates I can be ok with that

Smash Melee, Mario Kart SNES, Tetris Attack, Mega Bomberman, Halo...

I hope so, right now the install base is small, and personally I would buy more for it but it ends up being more expensive and not day and date with the same games on PS4 and Xbox one. It’s not worth it to me, although if it was my only system I would buy more. I don't imagine that's the case for most. I do buy some

Yes, but I can’t borrow Bayonetta 1+2, only Bayonetta 2, the first game is a download code that can’t be reused. Same with the MegaMan collections, Resident Evil Revelations 1+2...

But with expensive physical media that has storage limitations, many games ship with codes to allow you to download the entire thing. That also sucks for borrowing games or sharing them in a household with multiple systems.

I hope so. But it still requires different considerations than the other more similar consoles (Xbox/PS4), developers have a lot more work to do to bring games to Switch. And it requires further work to optimize well for docked/undocked modes, and media is more expensive as well.

It really is the new Vita. At least Bethesda and Nintendo have big games for it though.

Maybe this and the lack of discussion around it is a sign of how many are interested? It would probably have gotten some forum talk, Reddit posts, tweets, etc otherwise...

“When I feel like it” is the best time. No point in forcing yourself when you’re not in the mood, or denying yourself and having your motivation dissipate.

Dark Souls Remastered took slightly more time

Nice for those who didn’t play it... but who is that at this point

Meh, the only allure here is playing it off TV and away from WiFi so that doesn't exactly work out... I know I won't be buying their online service even for this, a game that is perfectly enjoyable offline

Not sure why it would matter if the online service was launched, many games are already online on Switch

Gamespot had a video of it running undocked and it looked fine

Disappointed, I preordered this for my summer vacation... I was looking forward to playing this soon since “Summer 2018" meant near the end of this month, but it’s even further out than I thought. Let down again :(

Shit from blizzard custies has to be some of the worst...

There’s a lot of that in general news as well. You still get pundits, click bait, tabloid journalism, etc. The good reporters stand out similarly but hacks still make a lot of money. To improve things, we must stop feeding the trolls, but a lot of people fall for it and games is no different.
