Watching this made me get an itch to play Excite Truck for some reason, what a great game. I could really get in the zone on that one, aced every course.

It seems like it was more of an indie XBLA PvP game with higher than usual production values to dress it up

Azure can’t just spin up some more virtual machines? It’s not like all players are on the same map at the same time, I thought MS was able to add servers automatically as needed...

Actually to me it now sounds like an indie Live Arcade PvP game dressed up as a full release... Someone else mentioned World of Tanks and yeah that seems to fit

Well it had to be said for all those wondering what they could do solo, it was worth investigating.

What about hunting around for random items to stock your inventory (or to sell), doing some crafting, upgrading your weapons, etc

I’m disappointed that the battles are not turn based actually :(
