YES! Well, I think it’s scoliosis (look at her shoulder height difference). I saw it in at least 7 photos!

DOOD! I just looked at, like, 15 photos of her standing like that and they DO all look the same—right arm at least an inch farther down the leg!
In the photo that Constant Colors posted, though, her shoulders look asymmetrical, too--I think maybe she has a bit of scoliosis...
None of this explains why he was SHOT, but it is the explanation the CPD gave for why they questioned him in the first place.
FWIW, this actually is a real “observation technique” taught to law enforcement. It has to do with a person’s “secondary characteristics” when they are carrying, like the way their clothing…
Or, in places where this is possible, get Instacart to deliver from there!
Now the Chicago PD has shot someone and they’re rioting.
I don’t want to lose hope and think our country is a total lost cause, a total shitshow, but I don’t know what else to think today.
That’s a great point. I like the idea of telling kids the truth, appropriately for their ages and who they are, and would add, as I posted somewhere upthread, that teaching consent and respecting the boundaries of even very young children is another way we can protect kids.
Well-said.
And I would add that non-stranger abuse being the rule, and not the exception, is the reason we need to shift our thinking from prioritizing teaching “stranger danger” to teaching kids of all genders about enthusiastic consent and about expressing their boundaries, with the expectation that they will be…
Trauma 1: being molested
Trauma 2: not being believed OR being believed but not having it reported
For some people, Trauma 2 FAR outstrips Trauma 1 in terms of lasting damage.
omg that MUSTACHE plus the “sign throwing.” ugh.
Prince didn’t truly “beef” with anyone, except Warner Brothers. He DID show a good bid of contempt, especially when he was younger, for people he could not be bothered with, but he was typically the one criticizing their “art”/talent, and OTHERS (Keith Richards was one notable one) were much more likely to make ad…
Low-energy conspiracy?
I have that trouble with “pushing” something “back” or “up.”
But then, I have ADHD, so anything involving time is pretty iffy for me.
Yep. Boyskout and I have a disagreement about the meanings of “upwind” and “downwind,” for basically the same reason.
Ohhhhh. Good to know.
I think he looks pretty good, too, but I really do prefer seeing some hair on him.
Yeah. Kinda. I mean, he hasn’t been “young Johnny Depp” handsome for a while, but his hair kind of hides that. The second woman pictured is bald, with a scarf; I was wondering if he maybe shaved his head in solidarity or something?
Thank you! Animal hurt is 100x more terrifying/traumatic to me than human hurt, in movies. I just discovered doesthedogdie.com. Useful.
Oooh! That’s a good one—a site just for specific triggers (including clowns, which I wouldn’t have even thought of as they aren’t my deal, but I know TONS of people are terrified of them, as well as sexual assault, which links to yet another site). Thanks for that!
Hahahaha! That’s precisely how my brain interpreted that post!
Well, The Ring is about the most valid cinematic excuse (except maybe Human Centipede?) for quitting a genre I can imagine. Especially if you saw the JAPANESE version <shudder>.
Omg. THANK YOU for reminding me of this piece of heaven on earth.
She was pure perfection.
