I would like to cordially invite Joe Walsh to East Oakland, the corner of 90th and E. 14th where he can say all those things as loudly as he likes.

I hope not, but fear you may be correct. I hope that the men getting called out expands to include other industries than media also.
A lot of powerful dudes in DC are just chillin at home, getting ready for Thanksgiving, hangin with the fam....secretly wondering if their WHOLE FREAKIN WORLD IS GONNA EXPLODE TOMORROW
They raping everybody out here.
There’s something satisfying knowing that every well known media and political figure who ever harassed women (or men) is having a hard time sleeping because they don’t know If they’re next.
When people FINALLY do come forward, it opens the floodgates for others to feel safe to do the same.
And that’s why telling white people what they want to hear as opposed to what they need to hear is pointless; either way you’re gonna get got, so you might as well keep it real and have your dignity if/when they fire you.
Is there a reason to hate her other than that she’s just... bland?
They know those kids are future voters. They also know that doing anything that might appeal to them would alienate their donors and their base, and so are hoping that they’ll vote at low rates and that the rest can be handled with voter ID laws and gerrymandering.
My local school board has student board members, and I routinely see them showing more leadership, and certainly more courage, than our elected officials.

I think “believe women” is like black lives matter in that the “too” unspoken is implied. The intent was never “only black lives matter”. Why? Why do you still need her to specifically speak out to you? Why is there always a caveat when Black feminists or feminist of color do something because you weren’t included. Welcome to it.
That’s cute that you’re under the impression that we can’t be angry and actively act upon all of these things simultaneously but I’m here to tell you that we fucking can. In the past month I’ve helped people in Alabama register to vote, called my senators an obscene amount of times, raised over $300 for a nonprofit in…
I literally just wrote this in the Dirt Bag thread but I’ll say it again. Lena is a white feminist. Her goal is to be equal to white men. She only cares about feminist issues as they relate to her and people like her. She has no desire to understand intersectionality. I’ve always found it annoying that Lena is…
I think it’s important to remember that how your loved ones behave around you is not always how they behave around other people. Someone’s awesome brother or best buddy could be the most reliable, kind, respectful person they knew, but there’s a good chance that they’d have no way of even knowing if he had a…
No one thinks those people are capable of doing heinous things, until they do them. Every murderer, pedophile, rapist, generally have people who love them, friends and family.
