That’s not necessarily true. I bought my phone through Apple and bought it for half price by connecting to my Verizon account and agreeing to another two-year contract with them. Plus I got deferred financing with Apple’s credit card, so in six months, I’ll own my phone, but I didn’t pay $750 for it.
