That’s kinda assuming and personal. I am fully up on anatomy and the many options available and the safety/efficacy of IUD. I can’t because I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which increases my rejection and failure risk hugely. It sucks I can’t use that option but it’s not for any of the reasons you assumed and it’s not

Looks interesting. Goes along with Hidden Figures in expanding the number of stories we get told which can only be a good thing.

The founder and owner of Igigi, Yuliya, was unethically forced out of the company and has started a new company, Bootstrap Fashion. The new owners are sketchy at best and their customer service and BB reviews have plummeted since they forced Yuliya out. Use caution.

Yup. Their quality (or lack thereof) is a huge issue for me. And everything is the same cutesy, twee vintage-esque style. I find ASOS to be better - more variation in styles, better sales, etc. Some of their stuff is nasty synthetics too but at least there’s more to choose from than Modcloth.

Most of their stuff is pulled from other companies, so you can buy those garments elsewhere if you know the brand to search for.

pinupgirclothing.com might be of interest to you.

Same.

None of their shoes are made in house. You can find every shoe they sell somewhere else, since all they do is bring in shoes from other labels.

I said it to another commenter, but you should look at eShakti. They’re amazing, affordable and pretty. You can get everything customized too (length, neckline) for a flat fee of 9.95. I used to buy from modcloth but the quality of eShakti is better in my opinion.

Can’t recommend eShakti enough. I am not skinny with rather generous bosom, and the custom measurements are god-sent. And the quality/fabric is good. Don’t ask them to take out the pockets though, they just cut them out and you get a super thick seam instead.

I have a longstanding love for Igigi (igigi.com). Lovely plus-sized dresses that were made in San Francisco - not sure if their garments are still U.S.-made; it looks like the company has been newly acquired. I’ve loved every dress I bought from there. Worth taking a look.

Same. The stuff I like is always way out of my price range and the rest isn’t flattering or isn’t my style.

Very few of the brands what Modcloth stock are exclusive, so if you browse and find something you like you can often google around and find it somewhere else.

I found their sleeveless stuff to have a classic plus size problem-gigantic armholes, to the point of seeing the entire side of my bra. It was a common complaint in their reviews. For the price I hoped they’d get that right.

Agreed. I have a lot of their tops, which I really liked, but the material was always really thin. Did you find that too? If I spend $60 or 70 on a blouse, I better not have to wear a tank top under it or mend it after the first wearing.

I feel like their style comes off as more ‘retro costume’ than...actually retro to me? Something about the bright colours and stiff-looking fabrics always put me off. And I should’ve been their prime sort of customer, being someone who wears a red lip and floral dress more days than not.

Given that most items I’ve ordered from Modcloth turned out to be cheap fast-fashion garbage made in overseas sweatshops hidden behind an overly-twee name (seriously, what is WITH their item names?), this isn’t a complete surprise. But it still sucks — I just started shopping there and I’ve gotten some super adorable

I read your first sentence and starred your comment. I’ve always wanted to love Modcloth - and have bought a few items - but it’s a style that attracts me more as an ideal than reality. Not for me, sadly.

I recommend eShakti, they make their garments in every sized. EVERY single item on their website can be plus or straight sizes.

I always WANTED to like modcloth more than I do. I’m not a thin person, and it was nice to be able to peruse their entire selection, not worry that I’d waste my time falling in love with a garment just to find out they don’t make it in my size. I love the way they set up their reviews, and I love how many of their

I think he is actually using this fake rubber hand! It’s the exact same color.
