They’re not entirely stupid about it. When they propose these things they generally backdate them so that the people who are over about 55 now won’t be affected by the changes. And there’s nothing a boomer likes as much as collecting their rewards while screwing over the younger generations.

A lot of them don’t. One of the late night TV shows did one of those person-in-the-street interviews, and discovered that while people don’t like “Obamacare,” they sure to like the ACA. And they don’t know that it’s the same thing.
