Mike, just because these type of launch issues have become commonplace with MMORPGs, that doesn't make it OK to have them.

The big deal here is that Mass Effect is a single player game with no online component. Bioware's previously proposed system was different than Steam because it had to be online to re-authenticate the game every 10 days in order to play. Steam will at least let you go into an "Offline" mode with your games…
