Definitely, I agree with that 100%. Its what I love about this story, its about Claire. We are getting to know Jaime bit by bit and we warm up to him through Claire's eyes but we can also feel Claire's yearning to be back with her husband, in her own time.

I know what you mean! But, Jaime is full of surprises, trust me we will get there. Both guys are a lot more complicated than they seem. Things are not what they first appear to be with Outlander.

I agree, he is in no way a villain. He is just not what we first think when he s first introduced.

Well said, I completely agree! I would give this episode a big fat A. The scenery was among the most beautiful I have ever seen on any show, the costumes, makeup, production design, dialogue, acting were all excellent.

So just out of curiosity what grade does everyone give this episode? and what has been your favorite episode so far?

They are setting Jamie up well, I think giving us his story bit by bit works great.

You and me both. His introduction was very important to the story but I would not want to watch 1940's Claire with Frank for more than a few episodes.

So am I

IMO So far its been getting better with each episode so I can see episode six getting there.

I will just say that when it does get there, the story with Frank will all come together.

Frank is not as perfect as the first episode made him out to be but the series will get there eventually.

LOL

Graham McTavish should get some much deserved praise come award season.

Definitely the turning point in the story!

Yeah, she makes him look weak since she escapes every other episode.

That makes sense, she looked like a fish out of water in the 40's as well.

LOL, very true.

x2

LOL! Good point.

Next week is the long awaited and critically praised episode 6(all critics have hailed it as epic and game changing). Its going to be a nail bitter, I am definitely intrigued.
